    DKS - Remodeled Store

Yeah the store I worked at was closed and we went to a new location - The Dayton Mall Store. The new location was nice but resulted in long distance walking from bikes and fitness to the stockroom - fitness stockroom was across the hall in the mall because our storage was to small and we were required to get a key from a manager now that's quick customer service - back stock for bikes were 25 feet off the floor and really dangerous to retrieve. The company is strong but complaints are prices are to high, just another clothing store, don't even talk to gun people, and to much emphasis on selling credit cards and service plans. Having worked there for over seven years we po'd more customers than we pleased. So with an eroding golf base and upset hunting and gun customers good luck on significant earnings increases. Also the balance sheet is not as strong as you may think - inventory represents much of the net worth and there is a lot of off balance sheet lease obligations. Just be careful!
