    Next catalyst RDN earnings

I hope not. They should just offload the financial guaranty business.....AGO seems to be interested and has been for awhile. It has got to be worth something, plus RDN could reinsure more of what they've written to free up capital as well. I really doubt they'll dilute again.

This will take years if not decades to move anywhere. I'm more interested in what Mexico is doing with regards to some of the changes they are making. It seems to have more immediate impact on HERO. Do you really think they'll drill in the Atlantic anytime soon? South Asia seems to be the other place drilling is picking up and with Perisai's Pacific Rig....HERO may have some more opportunities there for some of the other rigs. India seems to be a good place for HERO as well...Cairn has quite a few things going on. We are just lucky the Triumph contract has been extended for so long.

10-15 cents bitda would not be good, they need that on the bottom line or we are toast. The only thing that would save us would be nice contracts.

Tommie, good call on Radian awhile back. I used to get sick of your endless pumping, so I started to bash you. When can MTG use their DTA? Anyone?

DC quick question for you: What is your take on Vringo? I've had some luck timing that one...I saw you'd sold some awhile back. I am not sure I want to mess with it any longer, but still feel it could pay off. Is it just a matter of when? As for Hero, I'm loaded up and have been since the beginning of February.
    Thanks

This company is not well known outside of the diehard fitness folks. The things they are now doing finally will bring it some attention. I think it will run up into earnings, but who knows what will happen after that depending on what we hear.

    Sentiment: Hold

This won't make the front page news even in HERO's hometown. Mike, you are right.....we need to see some contracts on the high spec rigs before this thing is going to move. The shorts will flip once that happens, but honestly, this thing could languish lower if earnings disappoint or fleet status disappoints. I sold most of my position today and will buy back in once the hit occurs next week if the news stinks. The only saving grace on earnings is that they already wrote off the rigs to salvage value that they sold in past quarter's reports.

My advice if it runs up into earnings, sell half, then study the earnings report and go from there.

    What's wrong with this stock?

Jar, I saw you on Genworth for quite some time with Soul. Any idea where he went? You seemed to be on the same page as him and I always appreciated your input. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on what is the ultimate end game of this manipulation with HERO? I have been trading it for the past couple of months increasing my share count. How low can they take this thing? TIA

    Sentiment: Hold

Wow, everyone has given up on this thing. Tynan, what is the end game? It seems no one has the patience to endure the lack of information or direction this company provides. Why so secretive....what in the world is the plan.

It would be much higher if Zucaro hadn't made several bone headed moves. He's got to be the grumpiest CEO around. Luckily, several of the operating companies have continued to perform fantastically. Title has taken substantial market share and the general insurance lines, excluding work comp have done well. If work comp rates continue to increase, this thing could trade as high as 1.5x book.

I would hate to be one of the preferred holders. Unless they have a plan the preferred holders are holding the bag. AORE is only offering about 35 cents on the dollar to buy the debt back. Good for AORE....they should just offer to convert the debt into common shares. No liquidity in this thing. Property and casualty reinsurance is the new game and they seem to be making small inroads there. Anyone have any insight?
