Looks like we're in freefall again

August and September are usually lighter vol months. That said this whole China market is messing with the overall U.S. markets now.
The volume was light on the recent run and is light going back down.
Forget about the charts recently as the volatility is crazy. A good time to have some dry powder.
I was going to buy the Vix when it was around $14.00, didn't pull the trigger, but I didn't expect a run up to $50 in less than two weeks...unbelievable.
Also: Sept and Oct can be a tough time for the biotech sector, which it appears it may be a roller coaster ride for a while here.
The IBB hit 400 and it has been free falling ever since, it formed a classic head and shoulders in which I predicted it would hit at least $335, it did and it appears it may drift lower.
Unfortunately the larger markets are really beginning to focus on China now...if China can stabilize I believe everything changes here.
The DOW needed to pull back technically...right now it is still a healthy pullback but if it falls beneath 15000 it may place us in a recession. The bears are coming out with confidence, who knows what will occur?

Yes, JBEM does his DD and that's all it really takes to make money.
TRVN --- very, very interesting results, I didn't play it because new pain medicines have been tough, especially when compared to Morphine. If they can repeat results in Phase III this will be huge. Plenty of time to play this one again also. I was very surprised (impressed) with TRVN's results.
To me this was JBEM's riskiest call, but it certainly paid.
Congrats to you and the Bemmies.

Both stock prices are about the same. It will be interesting to see in one year from now (September 1st, 2016) which stock is higher.
SYN has Trimesta MRI data, another Trimesta trial, 010 Phase II-a trial to begin, SYN-004 results and trial design for Phase III.
CYTR --- has Aldoxorubicin --- a liposomal doxorubicin for STS, SCLC and possibly Glioblastoma. Results for STS trial due by end of year 2016.

Just be interesting to see how these will compare 1 year from now...I'm buying both.

    ok
My brothers favorite team has always been the Eagles...not sure why, we both have never even been to Philly nor live close, but he is a die hard.
As a kid my favorite team was Joe Montana SF 49r's.
    Then it was Elway's Broncos.
Now: I really don't have a favorite team...kind of rooting for Denver since I live close to the broncos. I'd like Dallas, but I'm not a Romo fan. I guess I probably change my mind yearly.

In college: It's the Huskers. That said, since Osborne retired we have had some Very Rough times and it has been rather depressing to see a once Elite team become less than average. Now we have Oregon States Riley here and I have NO clue how he will do?

Always enjoy your posts. Interesting and I learned some stuff here. I am also non-political. Looks like you are a very good parent to raise such bright children.I have a daughter who is working her butt off starting as a Freshman preparing for college and at 16 (now Junior)has two college classes under her belt and she's striving to be the top in her class, but as parents we have to make sure they understand just what they have to do to make it in this ever changing world.
If you read this: Are you kids Double Taxed then?
Great Parenting: That is also what this country is lacking.

I saw your post on GNBT and I wrote to Leo last year for him to watch this one as it could go bankrupt and I believe they DO have a very good Asset.
Leo did send me a response, at the time they were low on cash, but if they could steal this like they did PYMX then this would add major value here also.
    Take Care Fraz

We are giving our Country away to minorities and these DA's don't even see or care about it, all so they can have their names in history.
Trump is right...we have the most Corrupt system in the world period, bar none.
For once do what is right instead of kissing hispanics butts all the time....while they break our system. Nothing against hispanics, this is a post against our stupid politicians like Jeb Bush, the evil Bush empire, the very extremely Evil Clinton empire.
Sanders or Trump are who I am watching so far.

One thing about Trump is that he HAS to learn to control his behavior when he Feels he is insulted. Megan Kelly --- yes, he schooled her as she ambushed him making it appear he calls all women the names he only called Rosie, but it's wrong to continue to bash her. I like what he says about illegals, taxation and building a wall.
His major weakness is not handling criticism...this is not Iraq, so if he can somehow overcome his cockiness that everything he says is right, I would actually vote for him. As of right now it is just a SHOW and that's it.
IF, just if...he can change his "all righteous" behavior and accept that he is not Perfect he will have a chance...because his Cockiness will destroy him and that IS a Guarantee.
You CANNOT continue to BRAG about Winning, my gosh....at times he is acting like he is 3 years old.
If he really wants to win...he has to learn some humility and how to actually be Humble...just not sure that is possible.
If he doesn't change his ways, everything WILL BACKFIRE and right now he doesn't see it or believe it. He needs to actually show some class. Truthfully I really like him, but sometimes you would think he came from a Trailer Park with his immaturity... or maybe he has had things a bit too easy, but he HAS to acknowledge the fact that his #$%$ doesn't stink.
I'm not so sure he will be able to work with others either as if someone pee's him off it's pretty much over for that particular individual.
One thing is for sure...politics today are not boring with him around...he has to make a few changes and I believe he could actually win the whole thing. Do I believe he will change? NO
I believe he will become his worst enemy and bury himself.
    P.S. I do hope I'm wrong.

I think you're right. Spiro needs to let shareholders know what he is thinking or something, ANYTHING, but with that many early deaths achieving Stat Sig in OS is nil to impossible.
There are reasons why shareholders do not hear too much.
Not sure anyone would be interested in a partnership as we have been talking about this for YEARS!

The ovarian cancer drugs are very toxic and resistant which is why I believe Kevetrin will be approved to treat this and will be a money maker for shareholders.

can manipulate the heck out of OTC small caps as they can control the negative media by paying someone to write a bunch of lies and short the heck out of it very quickly and then once all the stops are taken out buy back quickly and leave the true holders stockless as they lost their stock to stops and are too frightened to get back in. If they work together they can really destroy a stock in about ten minutes and just STEAL from the retailers.
For them it's like taking candy from a baby and I've previously been involved in 3 small caps with vicious short attacks and it just wipes market value and takes time to get new investors and the former ones to take another chance after they were flat out burned out of their shares.
I doubt we ever find out the responsible parties for that lying SA article.

GSK and NVS ink deal for Multiple Sclerosis.

    Nice post Hofno!
I've played every one of these except CTSO and ATRS. I love LPCN and ATRS sounds great also...have to do some DD on that one.
SYN --- offering was at $3.00, so I expect it to surpass this level soon.
What is your Favorite stock right now Hofno?

  • GSK will receive $300 Million upfront and upon commencement of Phase III they will receive another $200 million from Novartis.
The drug --- Ofatumumab, is already approved for chronic leukemia will be a once a month treatment for MS.
Novartis recently began marketing Glatopa which is a lower cost generic version of Teva's Copaxone.
My initial feelings last year was that either Teva or Novartis would be interested in SYN's Trimesta....not so sure now as they are betting big time on this drug.
There still is the option of combining copax with trimesta, but since that would only be useful for women, I'm not sure how it would work out.
Novartis is going for a home run on this drug as GSK is guaranteed $500 Million.
The FDA is currently reviewing another once a month treatment from Biogen and Abbvie called Zynbryta.
The value I once placed on Trimesta is now dwindling as Riley has has one postponement after another. Now most of SYN's value will ride on their own version of an already approved cholesterol drug for IBS-C and an enzyme that will dilute some bata-lactase antibiotics and thus prevent C. Diff infections. That is still the major bet here....but MCRB is working on their own "treatment" versions and wouldn't be surprised to see if they try one of their candidates as a "preventative" also.
SYN needs to just get a partnership inked as this once a month treatment if successful could dominate the market.
SYN will also need a lot more money sometime next year as Riley already deceived shareholders when he stated in a conference call that SYN would likely not dilute until 2016 only to dilute a month later.
The trial for 004 will have to be a very large and expensive study, but as far as revenue for SYN...in my personal opinion this one will have true blockbuster potential. That said, the cost of getting to the finish line is quite a ways off and will cost a lot...this is considering they pass the Phase II's.

This will likely bottom around .30 cents and oil will go to at least $29.50...I'm revising my prediction a couple months ago when I said $35 as demand is dwindling and supply is massive and they are not doing anything about it. Saudi Arabia will have to cut production in order for oil to rise and they should do it NOW or this could go even lower than $30.
Back in the 90's when oil was about $10 bucks a barrel and gasoline was still between $1 and $1.20. So they are predicting that gas will eventually go down to around $2 bucks a gallon....not sure if it will actually get that low, because the Saudi's are losing massive income and they need oil around $80 bucks to break even, so they are doing this simply to ruin our Fracking business and cause financial distress as those companies in the North Dakota's will end up with Billions of Debt and the banks will end up eating some of this, which could put more pressure on the Financials later on this year. It doesn't look good no matter how you attempt to look at it.
China has lied about their true growth and now it is coming back and biting them, but there have been so many institutions that bought into China and now they are losing big bucks and forced to sell American holdings in attempt to stay balanced.
Even the top oil companies hold a lot of debt and now they will have difficulties with low priced oil and they will eventually get hit big time which will force many acquisitions/mergers in effort to pool resources.
Once the financials begin to really suffer --- this is when the REAL Pain will begin for American stocks... all stocks will pay the piper on this one as a domino effect will occur and real fear will enter the market which will cause massive sell offs. The Fed is all out of bullets to defend us from a horrendous downfall. We haven't seen anything yet folks.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

I'm starting to add again also.
AVI isn't doing a very good job of getting this to my buy point, so AVI, you need to put in some overtime bud.
    DDDDDDDD
AVI.MORON you have NEVER had a good post and yet you attempt to make yourself appear as though you know this company. All you know is that Kriegsman has very little morals.
That said...the insiders are not selling and they know this will go much higher even in horrific market conditions.
I am expecting AVI to help me get some good bargain buys, so keep up the good work AVI!!!
After we all buy low....we can thank Mrs. AVI for all the overtime and B.S. posts!
