    Will History repeat?

Sorry, I have not been reading this board of late. I have been trading and monitoring the sell-off for awhile, expecting the inevitable test of the old low. Only decided to change sides and buy and hold for a little while after we went down to 11.16 and did a very nice bounce. The MS comments should add to that tomorrow.
    Good luck

On 12/5/08, WLT tumbled to a new low of 11.12, before closing at 12.65. The volume that day was only about 5million shares. Today, WLT tested that low in very heavy volume of approximately 32million shares and bounced. WLT is now trading above 12 in the AH Sess. In less than a month, on 1/2009, WLT rebounded to 20.93, as it began an incredible run. What will happen now??
    Good luck

  • Per the DJ Newswire: "Morgan Stanley's Kurtz sees upside to $35/share, shrugs at dilution fears, says management won't raise equity, maintains overweight, $47 target.." Be interesting to see how WLT responds tomorrow.........
    good luck

The Seeking Alpha Article seemed to be very well thought out and his conclusions seem hard to refute. that being said, would have liked to have seen a little more of a positive reaction.......maybe we see more tomorrow and in the near future. However, we probably still need some news or analyst reaction to really move the pps.

    Amusing Board

I cannot imagine LULU selling down into the 30's unless their comps, margins and growth rate all tank. That could occur at some point in the distant future, but given that I am a trader, it is irrelevant to me.
I do think LULU can get back above 70 sometime this year, not just right now. They need clarity on the new CEO and his plans before another big move up can occur. However, a move back into the 70's is a hell of a lot more likely now than a further sell-off into the 30's................
    Good luck

  • glenntrader by glenntrader Jun 13, 2013 8:51 AM Flag

Hard to believe some of the silliness posted on this board. Is it really likely LULU should sell at a P/E of 15 when it is growing at 25-30+? Does any rational person think it should sell at 8-15 or that we are going to magically turn today and run back up to over 70?
Strange things happen in trading and in the stock market, but the odds favor LULU trading on both sides of even today and meandering around for awhile as we await news, especially regarding the new CEO.
Good luck to all and keep the silly, amusing posts coming.

CRUS certainly seems to be setting up for a retest of the April 19th intra-day low of 17.33, as well as of the closing low of 17.68 recorded on April 18th. Hopefully, they hold.
    Good luck

Be interesting to see if ALXA can hold this move and close above 4.64. It did just quickly pull back from 4.75, but it is early yet.........Hopefully, we have bottomed and will move up from here.
    Good luck

    Is anyone thinking that

The actual earnings will not be really relevant or stock moving, but their new guidance as to future earnings and cash burn, etc. will be closely watched and reacted to.

    What is Icahn's cost basis?

    by glenntrader Apr 30, 2013 5:21 PM
glenntrader glenntrader Apr 30, 2013 5:49 PM Flag

No, actually in his earlier filing on April 1, 2013, disclosed owning 9.27% as of that date. So he has only added 1.45% since then. Hopefully, for him he added today rather than earlier. He did really move the share price in the beginning of April, be interesting to see what impact he has the second time around.
    Good luck

  • NUAN's volume today (35.9 million) was slightly higher than the sell-off volume on Feb. 8, 2013(33.9 million). Surprisingly, NUAN received no dead cat bounce on the following day and did not put in a bottom for another 14 trading days. That bottom was at 18.00, 2 points lower than the 8th's closing price of 20.00. One would expect NUAN to retest that low, but maybe Icahn's buying will change the trading dynamics. Who knows?
    Good luck

  • glenntrader by glenntrader Apr 30, 2013 5:21 PM Flag

The interesting question regarding Icahn is how big a loss , if any, in NUAN does he now have? I would think not much, given that his initial purchases were probably around 20.00 and he could have added another 1% ro his holdings today at somewhat lower levels. He still lists himself as a passive investor.
    Good luck

  • glenntrader by glenntrader Apr 30, 2013 8:05 AM Flag

Hard to envision a way to sugar coat this report, maybe the 500million stock repurchase plan? However, back in Feb., NUAN stunned everyone when it forecasted 2.05-2.10 for the year and now they are lowering the forecast to 1.76-1.87, which is even significantly below last year's numbers. Be interesting to see if we retest Feb'.s lows. Maybe Icahn's investment and the stock repurchase plan keeps that from occurring. Who knows?
    Good luck

The real question with SWY is what should the multiple be? Clearly the rise in the share price since early December was fueled by a multiple expansion of the P/E. Now the selling seems to be feeding on a multiple contraction. One could estimate where the low will be if one knew what multiple the market now thinks is appropriate for SWY. Cantor Fitzgerald's note from April 12th that SWY is losing market share in many markets certainly adds to the problem.

    Secondary at $25?

    by positiontrader12 Apr 24, 2013 10:19 AM
glenntrader glenntrader Apr 24, 2013 10:25 AM Flag

Assuming that a secondary now occurs (which is a big assumption), I would be shocked if the price was really that low. If they are really confident of being able to file for quick approval (as thet appeared to be in the CC), why not wait until after that occurs or, at least, until after the next meeting with the FDA?
    Good luck

I have sold the shares I have been holding for the past few days (luckily for a nice gain). I am well aware that this might have been a big mistake, but I did not want to take a chance of holding CRUS in front of AAPL's earnings. Hopefully for anyone long, this was a big mistake, but who knows?
    Good luck

  • glenntrader by glenntrader Apr 17, 2013 1:46 PM Flag

Trying to call a bottom is usually a fool's game, but CRUS is certainly bouncing very nicely off of the break below 18. Let us see how it finishes today and how it fdoes tomorrow.
    Good luck

We will see how your scenario works out in the long run. In the short run, I have taken my profits and I am moving on.

In answer to a qyestion, the company said that same store comps had improved in February and had continued the improvement in March. This improvement led the company to forecast flat comps for the year (comps are down through the 3rd quarter). The analyst who asked the question then pointed out that February had been a very tough month for comps in the industry.
Be interesting to see what analysts say tomrrow, if anything, about this and other issues.

    Best short i ever had

I always wonder why posters make these ridiculous and silly claims on these boards. I realize you will not give a truthful answer so I will not bother to check back and read it. A word of advice, your posts might be more believeable and make more sense if you had not fairly recently posted on this board about being long FFIV. Hard to be short since the last earnings call as you now claim if you previously claimed being long. I guess you forgot what you had previously made up.
    Good luck
PS I also think some of your previous claims on other boards would have produced better results than this claimed FFIV short, if they had been true...............
