just a thought, but analyst may have been a short side analyst that was wanting to find/see some negatives.... honestly sounded confused to me.... for sure not happy..... but i've poured over the numbers with mtge and agnc numbers to compare and honestly all 3 looks atleast solid compared to past qtrs... i would risk saying really good with all 3 calls sounding upbeat with a positive future. market gave us a slight bump but i really think eyes are on the divi announcement, not just here, but at agnc and mtge.... all 3 look to be on hold for the divi run up.

caught the conf call this a.m.... honestly shortest call i've ever been on. 1 question that was not directly related to aldw and was pushed off to the alj call. was positive and to the point but very short. did anyone else walk away with any breaking news that i missed? listened twice and picked up a some incorrect numbers due to simple misspeak but thats it. anybody got anything different? market did not pop or drop so i'm guessing nobody else heard market moving figures or news. gl

we broke but could not hold.... did look very weak today with nice earnings report and i thought the c/c was solid, maybe not as positive as possible but analyst fumbled questions and followups leaving an odd feel to call (imo).....
2 thoughts on weakness.... nervousness on a SPO after watching others in sector offer up in the past weeks & no divi announcement yet.... imo we need to see an increase in divi to see 24.00 again..... lack of respect i guess

true on the 12 days of strength, and i forgot to mention the new shares (many of which will be traded on the run up to ex date) and often hold pps back somewhat..... may be more of issue over at agnc due to SO closer to exdate (may get more short term traders).... yes 27.50 with the .90 and i would be a happy camper... gl

divi of .90 and we see 27.00 or a couple cents either side.... divi over .90 and we could see 27.50 easy, maybe higher if market/sector are strong. jmo

agree, i got the feeling that i was with management more than the analyst. some questions and follow ups left me a little puzzled... glad we're on the same page with that

sounds positive but some analyst w questions sound unhappy w/ answers... requesting more info later and general doubt in analyst voices.... sounds like management has their ..... together but analyst are either not happy with answers or have doubts.... right now with leverage vs hedges questions as well as swaps earlier.

have not heard mention of divi declaration on call.... did catch mention of maintain dividend as well as b/v being maintained or growing during year.... anybody get anything different? i was a little late on start

lets hope govt stays out of additional tax increases.... i'm in here as well as many of the mlps and little scares me like the govt and changes to tax treatment of distributions and dividends as well as mlp tax treatment.

thought it was due out wed? but i see the numbers this a.m. and they look strong as does the premarket stock price. pop

at closer look volume is avg to just below so it's not some big seller, it's just lacking buy volume. aldw has to prove it's self imo. i'm holding for earnings

refiners blowing it out today... aldw stuck in mud, alj is up now... my nti is blowing it out as is my cvrr... aldw has no buyers.... waiting on earnings maybe? don't see any news that would move either way. very disappointed in recent performance

sitting on a small add order at 21 that did not get filled on last visit to 21.... the larger sell trades like early today worry me.... hate to think that someone with $$$ might know a spo is coming as it did w/ mtge and agnc.... on the other hand i think earnings will be solid and as the case w/ agnc, i feel these companies feel times are looking better (maybe just slightly) but spreads are looking like it may be time to put some money to work to produce dcf for investors.... hate to see a spo at this/these levels but if it's money that can increase yield in the mid to long term so be it.
i guess it's a gamble to buy pre earnings w/ risk of spo looming but longer term.... it looks like a risk worth taking.
i'm assuming we get the divi announcement at c/c?

agree looking for solid qtr w/ estimate beat but stock price indicates many do not share out thoughts.... more weakness following markets down early today.... need those earnings and divi announcement soon or i'm gonna have to add a few shares on weakness.

how/when, what do you know that i don't.... i'm sitting on a order for psec in the mid 10's and it's no where near filling.... spo on the way? i'll join if it sees anywhere near 10

really disappointed in recent trading in aldw compared to competitors.... really thought the more recent ipoed nti aldw and cvrr would eventually trade to a p/e closer to clmt. i understand the difference in distribution payout plans but clmt currently yields only 7% or so and near future earning predictions (2013) are much lower at clmt while 2014 earnings predictions are similar.... really expected aldw to be trading in lower 30's, maybe after earnings call or possibly 1st qrt full distribution.... looking for home in low 30's and that would still be a discount to clmt... jmo

thanks jrad, good to know.... all good info.... odd performance recently when comparing the 3 and toss in psx and clmt... some days it looks like they are all in different sectors with certain companies outperforming market while others are moving in the opposite direction. sounds like all 3 promise solid distributions for the short to mid term anyway. thanks again
