seems to be the last to give out the dividend. all you can do is email them and tell them you are sick of them sitting on your money for an extra day longer than any other broker!
It's always that way. The continued ignorance of how things work in the market, on this board is amazing!
How many people are invested in the market that don't even know the bare basics about it and what they are doing! So many people having no clue about the dividend or why that affected the share price today. It's really sad.
Make sure to take the time to look around as well. NCT/NRZ are taking a hit the last two days, but so are a lot of other REITs and financials. It looks like a general selloff to me. NRZ was hit a little harder yesterday because of the whole NSM dealio, but I think it is just creating another buying opportunity.
"Did you go to school? Have you considered getting your GED?" - says the guy who says, "Sense when...".
Why are you here? Did you buy at the top because you didn't do any of your own DD and now you are mad because you are too stupid and just read a message board for advice? I am guessing that is what it is. You will find that most people on this board have had shares for a long time and have a three bagger on their hands or more and so they don't fret the minor dips or cheer the minor jumps.
I am just saying, it depends on the time frame. You can't just make a blanket statement that longs have made money (I know it wasn't your statement Davis). I wish I was smoking something good. They wouldn't give me #$%$. =(
As Davis knows, I am not a basher. I actually was thinking about buying back in this last time it dipped below $7. In hindsight, it would have been a great move.
Longs haven't made money in a long time on RAS. RAS is still sitting at $2.52 pre-split price. It was higher than that back at the end of 2008. Now, before Davis can jump in, if you were trading in and out of it over the last several years, there is definitely money to be had as RAS is like a roller coaster ride with some rather high peaks and low valleys, you just have to time it right. This is most likely setting up as a valley at the moment. Don't say though that true longs (that sit on long shares) are making money, because they aren't.
Ethison, I would implore you to follow your own advice and not argue with Davis. He will always want to have the last word in a conversation, if it's spin and incorrect.
It was a nice quarter for them though and shows the turn around (if you can call it that anymore) continues.
To be fair, you predicted AFFO of .35 or as high as .40. It was .33, so a miss, but you did state you would be happy as long as it was at least .33.
Funny, because I know and hear of people that are now getting insurance they can't afford. Some of them are people that had insurance through their work, but then was dropped to force them into Obummercare and guess what, it's twice and sometimes triple what they were paying for through work. Yay!
So the media and Obummer force fed you that the biggest issue was the volume? Well, whats the excuse then that after the first week the volume dried up as much as 90%, but hmm, the site still was crashing for everyone? Still volume issues? No no.
Davis, you tell him to stop making things up, but then you make things up yourself. An increasing number can be as simple as going from one person to two. Two people out of thousands and thousands doesn't make a success. This thing is a mess. Even the democrats are starting to call it a mess. Why? Because there is no way of getting around what a mess it is. My wifes health insurance that she gets through her work is going up 30% this year. Why do you think that is? My insurance? Going up 22%. It isn't because people are eating more skittles either. If they think they are going to get the number of young, healthy invulnerables to sign up, they have another thing coming. Most of them feel it's better to just pay the small fine rather than sign up.
