Anyone consider how BelAtlantic
buyout of GTE will affect this deal? BelAtlantic has a

According to the interview, he has been buying shares in
WSTL (although I have not seen any evidence of this
through any filings). I sure hope he isn't referring to
his purchases from '97 <g>.
mind that WSTL is still out of favor. This is
obviously reflected in the current stock price and the # of
firms covering the company. Many shareholders, brokers,
and analysts have been burnt by WSTL management's
inability to EXECUTE on its plans.
This having been
said, I still BELIEVE that WSTL presents an excellent
opportunity at current prices.
- At current prices, the
market is discounting WSTL's DSL business (I believe
WSTL's TAP business alone is worth $8.00)
- We should
see accelerated ADSL revenue in the coming quarters
due to expanded deployment by Bell Atl/AOL.

very BULLISH CC after close of market today.

- The technicals look good (under
accumulation, 50 DMA about to cross 200 DMA)

better first day gains than most of the .com stocks of
