Bloomberg article too emphatic for it not to be. Shameful that ANR has kept shareholders in the dark. This has obviously been in the works for couple months. Apparently they have gone through a whole lot more cash this past 3 months than what most people have figured.
would be mighty nice. Why would the people familiar with what's going on call Matt with the WSJ? Are they friends? Why does the article start off saying they're filing and then conclude filing not inevitable. What happened to the one billion dollars they said they had in May? Do they still have a ton of RICE stock? This just don't smell right? If the numbers made available to shareholders were right, there is no way this company would be allowed to file. I believe somebody is trying to bluff somebody for some better term. .
Just wondering, has anyone here tried to call ANR ?
there is no way ANR is filing Bankruptcy! Absolutely none, zilch, nada, zero! GET IT? There is just enough knowledge on this board to be dangerous. If you own the stock you're better off staying away from the message boards. . Most of the pressure recently in the coal stocks is due to a silly LAX directive requiring funds to liquidate ALL positions in this sector..
pjmac, my thoughts too. I'm sure they're buying what they can without fear of being sued out the ying yang
$2B cash, $48M free cash flow? Spend $240M to buy debt? And everybody talking about bk? Got to believe someone, probably from China, has got to be drooling at the possibilities.
Contrary to board sentiment, bk not even a possibility within the next 18 months.
