I own both NOK & ALU and have done for some time...so I'm not really complaining. I did however, sell the ALU 4.33, 2016 calls against my entire ALU position around three months ago. I collected about $0.40 premium per call. At yesterday's close, I thought I'd really fkd up - but following today's debacle, I'm not so sure. Just goes to show!
good post...and I agree with the thesis. Touching on your voting demographics; yes, they are pretty much set...however, the GOP itself is becoming increasingly unstable, not to mention pretty darn extreme within its platform. That in itself could render them unelectable over time.
is that investors do not consider Pincus to be a fit & proper person to lead the company. And by that, I mean his lack of ethics in previous dealings. People like Pincus are disruptive in the worst possible way. The already low moral a the company has likely plummeted to new lows following the news, along with the stock price.
Don Mattrick clearly lacked an intrinsic understanding of Zynga's core business and how to leverage it. However, he did add some value, singularly in his efforts to transition to mobile. But unexpectedly this has now become a really interesting play going forward.
that's because he couldn't remember who Pres Carter was...he was deep in dementia for a good chunk of his presidency. Or don't you remember that?
what seems less "obvious" to most of you, is that the thousands of posts made on Yahoo each day have ZERO effect on the price of this - or any other - publicly traded stock. And for the most part are a complete waste of time - mine included.
