to my knowledge, the date of record - as of now - has not been established. When it is eventually paid, it will come in the form of a 'B' share for every share of common owned. Each B share will be worth approximately 80 cents.
I own both NOK & ALU and have done for some time...so I'm not really complaining. I did however, sell the ALU 4.33, 2016 calls against my entire ALU position around three months ago. I collected about $0.40 premium per call. At yesterday's close, I thought I'd really fkd up - but following today's debacle, I'm not so sure. Just goes to show!
good post...and I agree with the thesis. Touching on your voting demographics; yes, they are pretty much set...however, the GOP itself is becoming increasingly unstable, not to mention pretty darn extreme within its platform. That in itself could render them unelectable over time.
is that investors do not consider Pincus to be a fit & proper person to lead the company. And by that, I mean his lack of ethics in previous dealings. People like Pincus are disruptive in the worst possible way. The already low moral a the company has likely plummeted to new lows following the news, along with the stock price.
