AK....I've read the Stoll studies and see there are some interesting conclusions drawn to bi polar disorders and the benefits of Omega 3 oils in reducing the symptoms of such. My disagreement with the tenor of the posts here, especially from the good doctor, is the drawing of random conclusions from taking Vascepa for 2 1/2 months that are not borne out in approved FDA indications for the drug. Is the thrust of these posts that responsible physicians are now going to start prescribing pure EPA off label to treat anything from depression and bipolar mood swings, to glaucoma, (as JL suggests)? This is purely irresponsible IMHO. If you think insurance is going to cover these off label indications, think again.
I realize there may be many more benefits of Omega 3 oils then are approved right now but the abuses of
off label prescriptions in certain areas may far outweigh the benefits. Run the trials first, then get the uses approved. That is what our FDA system provides.
"Winning....winning...I'm winning"... Is that you Charlie? LOL!
drchick....Your post is logical and well written, and argues well for those speculating on a successful appeal outcome for Siga. For that, there really isn't any argument. Throw the dice and heads you win, and tails you lose. Fine. I say go for it. A couple of points up on a damages reversal, and even more if the entire verdict
is thrown out. They affirm the verdict in it's entirety and maybe the stock falls back to $3, or possibly a tad below.
With that said you, provided no real rationale why anyone would hold the stock past the verdict announcement. "Maybe they are working on Denge or other things?" Problem is you, and other shareholders, really don't know do you? Don't you find that fact alone a tad strange? They don't announce "every tiny step"? They haven't announced any steps in years frankly...Tiny or not. They only announce "milestones"? OK...what pipeline milestones have been announced in the last two years or so? Seriously. "Behind the scenes" they could be working on the ultimate cure for all cancers as far as shareholders know. Are pipeline efforts part of some CIA hush order, or just bad management and/or PR? You tell me,
Your position in Siga in stock, and double that in options (calls), is not investing. It's speculation on an event.
No problem whatsoever with that, but let's call it like it is.
Hey "Iloved"...Come on...You have to admit that was kinda funny...No...not my post, but the crazy "I popped a few Vascepa pills" and now I think I can play for the Yankees type posts. Sounds like the ads for sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express...Seriously...Would you want a doctor doing surgery on your face who portends to have upper mood swings with none of that "negative" stuff, a precise "clarity" of thought, simply by taking a fish oil pill for a few weeks? I mean. as an attorney, grabbing those crazy posts of this board in any malpractice suit would be a slam dunk winner...Come on man!
Hi team! I did what some of you did and took Vascepa with a quart of Jack and had the same euphoric upper mood swing, only to the nines....Full of energy....creative....outgoing....clear thinking...it was truly amazing. Really a miracle pill. I was singing too, and I swear my voice sounded just as good as the late Frank Sinatra! The only real negative was the next morning, however, where I did have this splitting headache. They really have to work on that issue. GLTALs!
Glad Vascepa is doing so much for the good doctor but unfortunately, not so much for his memory. This is at least the third time he has posted the same story about Vascepa improving his dry eye syndrome. Also, the stuff about the almost magical mushroom effects of pure EPA in increased awareness, less anxiety and "negative thing" plus "mood elevation" was definitely a reminder for me of my college days back in 1970's but we were smoking MJ, not taking pure fish oil...He does remind me of one other doctor in our era that was equally euphoric... one Dr. Timothy Leary...LOL!
And this is the guy who has lead you to the point where you are today with this stock.
Simply amazing.
Beaver...Much thanks, and it does help in knowing the spectrum of R&D that TSRX is involved in.
I really like this one as much as I hate Siga...LOL...Uunfortunately, I drank the Siga Kool Aide at the high so you know where that ended up. Maybe you can make a killing on Siga at current levels, but I have little faith in management, or the reported on "pipeline" they portend to be developing.
PS...In the GSK release today they mentioned that development of new antibiotics to replace
current ones which are becoming resilient to certain bacterias has been slow to evolve because
of the lack of large monetary recovery for the time, effort and expenses involved in development
of such new antibiotics.
As an owner of TSRX I was quite encouraged by that statement. I mean...We're already there.
Cheaper to buy us for $20 it would seem then start from scratch or throw money at some project where the outcome is uncertain..
GL to you and GLTAL's here!
I'm sure some of you saw the release by GSK today about the US funding of 200 million in research and development costs to held advance new antibiotics to replace those that have become partially or totally resistant to current antibiotics such as PFE's Zyvox, as well as other bio terrorism threats.
So the question to the group is...How how does Tedizoli shape up vis-a-vis Zyvox in treating these
antibiotic resistant bacterias, and next, could it be effective on gram negative bacterias, or is the company in development of such an antibiotic?
TIA...Long and Strong TSRX!
I was "bagged" by management of the company, not the science dimwit. Had we known the BARDA contract was tainted with innuendos of undue influence and/or conflicts of interest that CMRX first alleged, and was later rewarded by the contract being cut by 2/3rds by eliminating the automatic renewal options, then Issa's and McCaskill's same allegations, only before Congress this time, I would have sold like the insiders did in the low teens and gotten the heck out of Dodge. We kept denying all of these allegations and said we weren't going to confront CMRX or the Congressman in the press, or legally, because we were going to take the "high ground" in the dispute. That sure worked out well didn't it?! The stock fell to low single didgits and has never recovered.
sigakingmoneygone.........Yes...I wish I had "missed out" on this gem as I would have avoided a 350k loss that I took in the stock after insiders sold in the teens. Took me years to make it back (which I fortunately did, plus). Still waiting though for that great managment that you tout to buy back even one share of the stock they sold on the open market. It's only been two and a half years since they sold, so maybe next year huh? LOL
You Johnny come latelys, trying to make a quick buck here and then hasta la vista, are totally worthless. Give us just one of your gems that you've posted here other than classic cheerleading that has proven accurate to date. Just one. Thought not.
evenu2arestupid...
This company is literally a nat on the back of RP's empire, and I doubt if he even knows of it...has talked to
anyone remotely involved with it....knows what they purportedly produce or sell....nothing having to do with
this company. Are you nuts or what? You think RP had a family member die of smallpox because they couldn't get their hands on "THE CURE"? Whatever you're smoking please pass it on to the other Siga bagholders. Just please tell me you are not behind the wheel of an automobile someplace.
Thanks Kutz...You are indeed right. A whole world out there huh? LOL...GL my friend.
Oh come on "Musher". Siga has not sold anything to anyone according to their official accounting have they?
And their one customer...the US Government? Your thesis sucks. PCYC isn't even in Phase III trials yet, but JNJ took a large shareholder interest in them in the low 20's...PCYC is now $90. Ditto SRPT...Phase II early studies for goodness sakes, and the stock has gone from $3 to $37. No product...no marketing...no nothing.
BP sees potential in some bios, and pays up for it. They see no potential here obviously. Stick to dog sledding!
GTXI up another 10% today making it 22% in two days. Sure hope I'm not the only one here in this name.
I'd like to share good news with my fellow TSRX longs!
Presenting at ASCO?
New analyst coverage?
Up graded opinions?
News?
AK...One last on TSRX. Have your wife read the latest SA article on TSRX by Smith and then let
me know if she still feels the same way about it.... Would be interesting to get her take on that piece.
TIA!
"Standard of Care"??? Just a quick guess...LOL!
Thanks AK...Please tell your wife thanks too. What is "SOC"?
AK....
TSLA has a "dealership" about a mile from us. Went down there and they arranged a test drive for me and a work buddy. The car is flat awesome. Fast as heck...great electronics...good stereo and supposedly very safe due to body construction, balance and weighting, with all those batteries. The "S" I think is all they will be making in the near future.. Great care. If I hadn't already bought a big ticket auto three years ago I'd definitely buy this one!
Minnie....Congrats for buying this one and the nice words you posted to me on the Siga Board.
The idea for all of us is to make money and sometimes all this stuff gets a tad too personal.
You and Silver and I are all here and I think this is just the start for TSRX...
GLTAL's!
