Edit...DRTX new high again at $12.20...
OK...I'll quit posting. I tried. You guys either want to go down the drain with Siga or NFLX...GL!
Yes...thanks doc as well for the TTPH mention. In large now from the 9.90's...
Think I missed ONVO sadly. Looked at that name when it was $4 and passed...LOL!
Volume isn't huge but someone is paying up to get in this name, and now......
So far this could be one very Happy Thanksgiving for us longs!
Naked finger is going to have his usual pork and beans down at the ol truck stop though....LOL!
Hey Drod...Cut me some slack here. Did I not post on this board for people to buy TSRX at $7.15 multiple times? Can I help it if you did not, and others here did, and it was bought out at $14 less than a year later. Did I not post here multiple times for people to buy at DRTX at $7.60.. Again...you didn't buy it. Silver here did...and TSRX. He's a real happy camper right now, and with CLSN, which he also bought in the 2's and sold in the 7's like I did two days before the failed trial results. Again...my fault you didn't? I posted on this board when I sold CLSN and my reasons. You choose to ignore them. Tragedy? Yah like winning the lotto is a tragedy...
ONTX...Yes...I went long pretty big at 18. Yes...I sold half on the run to $18.65 the day Citi put out their research and a buy target of $27. Yes...I'm still holding the other half of the position. Yes, it is a loser right
And speaking of losers....Go back and read my post the day NFLX tanked from the 340's to under 300 and my comment to you to cover your short and get your "nose out of the trap"...Your reply..."this is no trap"..
I'm on your side Drod.. This is not a competition. Just some friendly advice maybe to look at some other things but shorting NFLX. GL to you....seriously.
In very large from $7.60 and I tried gang..
OK...Now you can get all over me for ONTX...
TTPH....ditto, up nicely today and in that name from $9.85
So far three big winners.....CLSN (Yes Drod I understand your story there but others here didn't have the same experience...LOL)...TSRX....DRTX....and one developing story....TTPH....
And one big loser thus far...ONTX.... Far enough...?.
Oh Siga?...Keeps going down huh?...NP thankfully.....
STML....Been looking at that one. Interesting and the chart says some support down to 22, but if it falls through that it could go into the teens. Will wait on it for now but watching...
Just added SRP today at 13 but have been following the stock for over a year...
Today I am indeed sorry for long time holders, but the stock traded at 55 this year for goodness sakes, so the risk should have been fairly obvious what could happen if anything negative occurred....and it did. So that event is now water under the bridge.
As for FDA approval. If the 10 boys who received dystrophin are still doing great, why not show the FDA and all the physicians out there that 250 boys and girls can do great on the drug too. Or 2,000 for that matter.
That is what clinical trials are all about. You want a cancer drug approved with only 10 patients?
How about a major heart drug? 10 patients= approval.
Come on gang. Dry those tears and move on. SRPT needs a partner to fund and manage the Phase III trials
and they should be able to get one. It's not the drug that is at fault here. It's management. Nobody in their right mind should think they could get a drug approved by the FDA with 10 subjects. Crazy.
Daviscupper jerk off...;You are the biggest douche on any message board, period. This is the fourth time I have seen you post the same junk for a stock that has crashed. Is that how you get your kicks you perverted little girl?. That's after you bagged hundreds of people on CLSN earlier this year with lies and garbage.
How you sleep at night is beyond me you sicko, but for the people who truly lost money here today,
I for one hope you rot in hell.
BP will buy this company. Not for the dreams some may have had, but well above the current
selling price. IMHO Shorts win today, but those long in this disaster are picking up a bargain IMHO.......
By the way...I just bought SRPT at 13.34. I think the FDA's decision will result in the sale of this company
to a large pharma. IMHO obviously, but the scenario makes sense...at least to me.
The parents may be willing to assume the risk for their children, but who is the advocate for the children?
You see, new drugs are in early clinicals every day, and there just might be one that does the same or even better than the one developed by SRPT, with no side effects, or possibly even worse. That's what clinicals are for. Prove your drug in a large random clinical trial. If the standard was efficacy and no material side effects in 15 or less patients, we'd have 100 drugs approved every month. Fortunately for all of us...that is not the case nor the standard.
About 100x more people will die of brain cancer in the next two years than this childhood form of MD.
Regrardless of pending and promising treatments for gioblastoma, they still must run the full phases of
clinical trials to get their treatments approved by the FDA. Fastrack designation, orphan drug, and novel drug designations were all designed to move the process along for very promising treatments like SRPT has.
If someone died because the FDA approved a drug where there were only 12 participants in early trials,
every lawyer and consumer rights advocate in the nation would be all over the FDA and the doctors who allowed the situation to happen. May not be "fair" but it is what it is unfortunately. It's the world we live in
Expects PDUFA date around May...ADCOM likely in Q1....EU filing by year end 2013....350mil peak sales by 2022...Attractive tax rate from IP transfer to Dutch subsidiary...Low market valuation versus peers...$14 price objective but could move to high teens on approval. Modest enterprise value. Hospitals are looking for a low cost means to treat infections on a longer term basis MRSA antibiotic....R&D could expand current opportunities for D. D for children...osteomyelitis....bronchoalveolar.lavage study for pneumonia...additional indications beyond skin infections etc. Low market value of 200 mil...
Got a winner here gang IMHO...Patience then patients!
"who is right".... You sound like my kids when they were 8. Did your daddy and mommy not give you enough attention or something? What gives with you anyway?. Go away. You don't own the stock anymore and nobody is going to believe anything you have to say so adios muchacho, and don't let the door hit you on the way out!
Silver....You know I went large TTPH at 9.95 today and have been waiting for this opportunity ever since the stock was $8. Love holding large DRTX and TTPH. I think both will be up huge over the next year. DRTX first, then TTPH to hit it out of the park by 2016.
Me too! At $9.95 and a large position. Been wanting to get into this one from $8.00 and got distracted all the way up. Nice to have a chance to get into this name in single digits! Long DRTX too from $7.05. Love both~!!!
The gravy train ends when Phase 1 of the BARDA contract is over. Cannot the pumpers here figure that one out? I'm sure PIP might be a tad concerned with the annoucement though. LOL!
Your post makes WAY too much sense for most of the people here frankly. What I think the move meant was that the money saved equated to prolonged employment, and salaries, for some others. I think I'll leave it to you to guess who those people might be....lol!
