Get the spread as big as possible; blow out all the stops and weak hands, then let it slowly rise. "Legalized" fraud at it's finest. Tis the American way
So typical of wall street fraud. All a scam. I guess if the merger wasn't approved we'd be at 22, so it was hoo gto drop rregardless. But then why wouldn't it have dropped last week? Makes no sense.
When will it end? What a debacle
Like anyone with half a brain didn't see this coming. Come on people; the game is over. This company will never make money and will either get bought out for $8 or dissolve into bankruptcy. Wake up
EXACTLY. The JV is chump change, and the China situation is even worse. If people are banking on these puny JV's to a perceived path to riches, then they are in for a rude awakening. Just saying
not surprising. Anyone who looks at this company objectively can see they are in trouble. Execution just isn't occuring; plain and simple. The bleeding of cash will continue until they either do yet another secondary or sell out. Either way I look for $2-3 share price within 12 months.
Spin it any way you wish; the facts are still the facts. The company is NOT executing and is still bleeding cash. Unless something changes dramatically and in a hurry, this stock will be $2 within 12 months.
Unfortunately $290 mil will not be nearly enough to last 4 more years and design and go through another phase trial. Sad. They need to partner or sell.
I haven't had a position in SRPT for many months, but I am appalled and disgusted with this BS. But, it is merely a reflection of our current admin; ; corrupt, deceitful and completely inept with no accountability on ANYTHING. JMHO.
OK So maybe not a sucker punch but a little cuff to the side of the head. Earnings weren't a complete disaster, but nor were they anywhere what I'd call super duper. Still facing lowwwwwww margins.
Even though rig utilization was up sharply. Those old rigs are really starting to drag down some of these players. RIG also has big issues in this department; although they are scrambling with newbuilds. Unfortunately, the field is getting a little clogged with players, and since SDRL seemed to have had the brains to bring a whole new fleet to the party way earlier, they are currently in the driver's seat. The S&P inclusion is a nice little temporary boost, but after next week the 'ol inevitable slide downward will probably continue. Not until Macondo has been settled for good will RIG rise; although the rise will not be like the old glory days. Perhaps $60; maybe $65. I don't think RIG will see $90-$100 for at least 1 to 2 decades; unless peak oil is hands down proven and oil/day rates skyrocket.
