this used to be called a "salary promotion"... rip off. You buy a board of directors who won't say a word
about anything even though you lose money for 24 consecutive quarters or whatever. They continue to draw
a fee per meeting and the CEO continues to pocket an outlandish salary. The product or the project "looks"
so promising it's hard to sell. In fact, the only sellers are the insiders. It looks so good mom and pop continue to buy, and the BOD and CEO continue to sell. In the end, guess who's left owning most of the stock?
The SEC needs to look into this. The CEO and the BOD need to be examined thoroughly. They probably got
some money from Obama in addition to issuing stock-when-needed. I'll make the call to the SEC. GET
You're very knowledgable, but understand those fed funds are in the bank right now. They haven't
paid anyone, they haven't bot anything. It's there and we have to wait until they announce they
deployed some of it. If I were a major, I'd look at the whole company as cash plus assets (and debt) just sitting there paying out 100 mil in dist annually which wouldn't have to be paid if I owned it.
Institutions own over 51% of the company. Maybe that's enough for them. You can look at the vol. and see it's mostly retail buying and selling now. Need more upside vol. Need an upgrade. They can't ignore
the yield or the cash position much longer. On the other hand, maybe they wait to see if the new ceo
has more sense than the last one.
As of 31 March, MS owned over a million shares. On June 1 they initiated coverage with a
neutral rating. EVEP is now yielding 15.2% and just banked $11/sh. That's over 5 years of dist.
at this level. Of course, they won't use it that way, but it seems the dist. is safe anyway for
a couple of more years. Seems to me we can look for an upgrade from MS soon. They've
got some skin in the game.
Announced this am. Maybe Morgan Stanley knows EVEP is about to get $11/share in cash.
Maybe they think the dist. is safe and probably going up. Lot of reasons to take advantage
of this ridiculous move below $14.
Nat gas up around 3 bucks. Partnership about to get $11/sh in cash. Yield is over 13%.
Shorts have pushed it down since it went ex-div. They keep pushing and I'm gonna keep buying.
