In company news, shares of Synergy Pharma ( SGYP ) was ahead in recent Wednesday trade after the drug-maker announced the final distribution ratio for the upcoming spin-off of its ContraVir Pharmaceuticals Inc. subsidiary.
The spin-off is being structured as a pro-rata dividend of ContraVir stock, with shareholders receiving 0.0986 ContraVir shares on Feb. 18 for each SGYP share they own on Feb. 6.
Following the distribution, SGYP will have no ownership stake in its former subsidiary. ContraVir shares are expected to trade on the Nasdaq Global Market, although the company has not yet announced its proposed ticker symbol.
Incorrect ! The official news states that contravir will trade in Nasdaq global markets. And to get listed there a stock needs to meet a minimum price of $3-$4 ! Any one else who shares some insight?
This should've been better than the current $2.85 offer. Its must definitely be atleast $3.85
I mean its the shareholders who buy shares well aware of risks of the market...what are these lawsuits going to do ? As if whatever happens in wall street is so transparent that it cannot escape the legal system ! #$%$ !
The majority of shares are with a few people only who are day to get done with it...the retail investors have very few shares , even if none of the retail investors tender their shares, ENDO is going to have no problem, coz majority wins !
Looks like the lion turns out to be a cat.zecuity has skin irritations, adverse side effects and may be disliked by patients and doctors alike.....not sure why the analyst thinks so..but endo has been downgraded . Not much hope here for a better offer by endo...loos like they will have tough time selling zecuity already...
I hope it's 2 but couldn't it be that the shareholders facing the risk of bankruptcy agreed to $2.85 which stil is 85 ends above their $2 warrant price.Probably they thought a decent profit is better than lose it all.
I need honest replies please.I was very confident we would when I heard AA say it's a cake walk 2 conference calls back. But looking at the recent developments, BOA projections of sales figures and most importantly looking at AA hurriedly giving away his company for peanuts, I no longer wish to believe in AA's sales figures.
We all know endo will pay for $100 mil sales but what about the list of patents that path holds? They are so valuable that they can be used for literally any kind of medication not just for treating migraine. What if in the future someone taps this patented technology and milk dollars? I fail to understand how come the patents and the company together got sold for just $2.85. Unbelievable !
Looks like boa and Goldman Sachs have both given out similar sales number till 2015 which is $20-$30 mil in sales...it's way below the minimum $100 mil sales in order to get a payout from endo.Looks like their projection point out to minimum 5 year hold for hitting $100 mil
Treene, what's your take on this whole buyout.I know youve been a strong follower of path and you have been consistent in your stance about a buyout happening since approval.Do you think it's worth holding on to the shares or sell them at these levels($3.3 odd). What are the chances of Z hitting $100 mil sales and when do you think that will happen(by 2015 or much beyond)?
Yup !! And it's a lose-lose situation for shareholders...you either have to cut your losses and sell now or you get $2.85 unless you averaged down heavily when the stock was down at $1.8... anyway nothing much to get back after waiting for an year with hopes and dreams about a great product inspite of the CEO's suspicious CC statements. I wonder how the hell did this man AA get so much goodwill from the shareholders here inspite of being silent throughout 2013.There is an old saying 'silence can only mean 2 things : either you know everything and keep quiet or you know nothing ' somehow we all have been thinking AA is too smart for all this but at last turned out that he had nothing to offer other than save the company from bankruptcy.Though he has let down the shareholders he has saved a company from filing chapter 11.. That's his victor going into retirement.
Isn't the offer already accepted by the board? If there were multiple possible offers , why would the company release this news and make it known public in the midst of a bidding war happening? .the price should be kept a secret during such a scenario isn't it?
Who is paying $3.4 to buy these shares when the offer was only $2.85? Even if they account for the sales milestone payments, it's not going to happen soon...so why are these people ready to dump money which is going to be dead for a long while ? Given BOA's milestone sales of $12 million for 2015, cannot understand what people think when buying path @3.4 !
