by the way I am on this site, to decide how much downside protection I should seek to sell a naked put.
I am cautiously bullish.
beard -- you seem to have been following mygn longer than i -- do you have a feeling about what portion of mygn's intellectual property was lost with the patent?
this is a growing segment, but going unprotected does not give mygn an inside track to a dominant position in the space.
i am bullish on mygn, have been trading downside protected puts for a few months. generally, a portion of my strategy is not to sell naked puts below the most negative forecast on a particular ticker, but have deviated for mygn.
i like the average forward fundamental projections, but am troubled by the few analysts who are projecting a major drop in the price. mygn is getting good coverage by analysts --- 12 month forecast -----
most optimistic - up 59%,
most pessimistic down 37%
average up 11%
any input on the basis for a number of analysts being so negative? meaningful comments only please.
i have traded ebix shorter term options regularly for a year or so, and have lurked on this board since that time. meaningful comments by bulls a bears is worthwhile, but unfortunately most boards have become so combative, they are totally meaningless for anyone interested in insightful commentary.
thanks to all for your good work here!
there was not a basher of QCOR. A couple insurance companies said they would no longer cover QCOR's MS drug and the market thought all other insurance companies would follow. When none followed the others decided to begin covering again.
I think the buy out study would have uncovered major accounting flaws, so I believe the current fundamentals hold. I personally have been selling naked puts since the major drop and the profits would now cover half of a long stock purchase. All the fear on the ticker has made premiums rich, so there is great opportunity until the issue is resolved. you can still sell the Oct 9 put for .50, so getting in at 8.50 is not a bad thing, but I think you will keep your money and if so you will make 750% annualized on your margin requirement. Got any more opportunities like this? If so let me know!
New to Z stock after recently using their site for property search. It seems like a lot of properties are missing from their site, I am looking to sell some property and checked out prices of similar properties that have sold recently. Data not on Z - and I know the properties were sold via a broker. Additionally, there is a lot of data on the Z site that is in conflict with the real estate broker web sites.
Z has a terrific concept - they need to add people to resolve the known problems and seek to become a common thread of data being used by buyers, sellers and brokers.
