FnF needs a spokesperson like Warren Buffet: grandfather-type, pudgy, etc Studs like Berkowitz, Ackman and Perry don't come across well.
Buffet looks harmless and he is well liked in the media, but the studs have image problems, but are just as slick as Buffet. Buffet comes across like Jed Clampet, but they are both shrewd as a fox.
FnF are just gushing $$$$$, who thinks the politicians and all their government programs want to give that up? For those who do, I have a bridge to sell! Please contact me!
we are also dealing with MASSIVE DEFICITS and PAULTY income .... those idiots want to RAISE TAXES big time ... so how can any of us think Washington will let this FAT CASH COW go without a huge fight?
don't believe it ... will not release CASH COW without a fight .... what is he smoking anyhow?
Will Tim Howard be called into court to testify during the procedings? Does Tim Howard know of any other witnesses called on to testify for the plaintiffs? Yeah ;o)
that's a problem ... Fairholme lawyers state in should be included in FNMA earnings
Armando Falcon was the. former director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight. Greenspan and Summers supported the banking industry efforts to undermine FnF. What better way to undermine than to pass toxic loan portfolios to FnF?
In 2004 Armando Falcon, charged Howard and then Fannie CEO Franklin Raines with accounting fraud, which led to their departure. It took 8 YEARS for those charges to be dismissed. Falcone got support from the Bush admin, Larry Summers and Alan Greenspan.
8 years until justice was served ...
now that you mention it, the FnF board of directors and corporate officers may be called on to testify during Perry/Fairholme/Pershing lawsuits. Won't that be interesting testimony!
Mr. Berkowitz indicated that the receivable inherent in the GSEs mortgage put-back requests should be shown on the balance sheets of both companies, from Morgan Stanley, Citibank, BoA, JP Morgan Chase, etc
there is plenty of blame to go around ... especially at the doorstep of Paulsen and Geithner. politics is terrible, both parties are corrupt
