OK boys., The "heavy hitter" shows up @ the January Detroit Auto Show. Dodge Charger Hellcat's history. I lay odds, the CTS-V'll come in around 800 pounds lighter than the Dodge. Plus, Dodge doesn't have enough "tire" on the Charger Hellcat. Why they aren't using those huge Z-28 Trofeo R's is beyond me. 707 hp means very little when the rear's turn to rubber dust in an attempt to use that 707 hp. Oh well. I really like the Charger Hellcat and applaud Dodge for it.
Look. Give it a rest. The Nation elected and then re-elected President Obama, it wasn't even close either time. He's got less than 2 years left in office. Ain't nothing gonna happen that hasn't already happened.
Besides. The Republicans cannot even find a Presidential Ticket with the ability to beat Clinton/Castro in the 2016 General Election. All this "Obama Whine" distracts Republicans from getting the job done. And. On top of all that, they spend valuable time keeping duct tape on Senator Cruz mouth. He's so shallow, goldfish can't survive in his pond.
3 thumbs down = 3 Republicans out of touch with reality. LOL Enjoy your 2 years of Midterm elections. 2016 cometh.
Thing is - Republicans have ZERO front runner possible Presidental candidates. No one. And the Democrats already own "front runner" status with Hillary Rodham Clinton and Julian Castro. The Castro twin brothers are WAY hotter than Senator Ted Cruz and not polarizing like Senator Cruz.
Hey. Back off - go take your meds - you're having a crisis. What's done is history - get over it. Simply because bleeding your spleen on this message board won't change history. GM's better for the housecleaning and fielding an excellent range of models to suit a huge variety of taste and needs of customers.
I proudly own a 2013 Cadillac ATS Performance Edition 3.6. Get compliments often on my ATS and it's doing quite well, thank you very much. My 2 closest friends each own an XTS and a new CTS. I really like the CTS Premium 3.6. Gorgeous model with a fabulous interior.
The new Chevrolet Colorado received the "Truck of the Year" award from "Motor Trend". Well deserved.
By the way - what model do you suggest during your various tirades against GM. Toyota's very boring Camry?
Chrysler got government assistance and they're doing very well indeed also.
NO one in West Texas seems too concerned at this point. Of course, the situation receives close attention. We're very close, right now, to total independence on foreign oil. No panic, please. Let OPEC get their house in order. Sit tight, you'll see the Saudi's get real.
"Motor Trend" didn't share your opinion in testing for "Car of the Year". Too many rough edges need attention including suspension tuning and further programming upgrades with the new 9 speed transmission. Yes, it's a great new look simply needs some time to mature into a really fine sedan. I'm impressed with the refresh of the 300 sedan. Interiors, in particular, just gorgeous. And the "Hellcat". Oh my goodness. Prefer the Charger version though.
Nothing more than a silly stun for publicity visibility. Has no relation to "real world" usage.
Get the Ram 1500 with the 3.0 diesel. Hands down the better truck for you needs. Refer to the current issue of "Motor Trend" before you buy your truck.
"Motor Trend" evaluated the 3 trucks, results released today online. I recommend all of you read that report. Bottom line. They rated the Ram EcoDiesel #1. A very extensive evaluation, well written and very well documented.
Perhaps a better comparison might be using the new twin turbo 2.7 V6. It's a less expensive upgrade in the F series than the twin turbo 3.5. The 2.7 costs $495 whereas the 3.5 costs $995.
I suspect Ford went with the twin turbo direction as they really didn't have much choice left with only the 5.0 and 6.2 V8 designs. Truth be known however, real world those twin turbo V6's eat gas seriously when driven hard. Betcha.
A better idea? Republicans fielding a Presidential Ticket - a WINNING ticket for a change. Come on, Romney and Palin? You guys - get a life. Clinton/Castro 2016. That's who you gotta beat. Giving me a bunch of "thumbs down" only proves my point.
Now. Onto some fun stuff. ATS-V sedan and coupe. Major new models with the CTS-V and CT6 next year. Twin turbo V6 and Twin turbo V8.. Forget "Fleetwood", "Eldorado", "Seville" etc. That's ancient history kinda stuff.
I hope Cadillac quietly puts the XTS to rest and gives the twin turbo V6 to the Buick LaCrosse in it's next redo. A Buick LaCrosse Super might be really nice. Keep Buick FWD and Cadillac RWD.
I find it of interest that Foreign auto makers fall all over themselves buidling huge assembly plants in the South. I wonder why? High unemployment means lots of cheap labor??? Perhaps they'll get some off the unemployment payrole.
OK boys and girls. They're officially "here". With the CTS-V coming in January and the CT6 later in 2015. A reminder that Mercedes and BMW aren't the only builders capable of really good stuff. Make mine a black sedan with track pack and the 8 speed automatic. With the uprated twin turbo 3.6 @ 455 horsepower and 445 pounds feet of torque.
GWB - Don't forget the weapons of mass destruction. How many soldiers did we lose?
Jack Roush appeared here a week ago @ Rogers Ford his largest seller of Roush modified Mustangs and F series trucks in the US. He brought his latest 2015 modified Mustang - it's super great. He pressed the flesh with a large crowd and signed dashboards in current inventory and for customers. Nice guy. Great PR.
Be careful what you wish for. In 2016 33 seats in the Senate up for re-election of which 23 are Republicans. Hillary will clean house - count on it. Jeez - Republicans can't see past the end of their noses.
I've no position in Tuesday Morning's stock - nor do I plan to get one. My points come from having "been there, done that" in Tuesday Morning as a Store Manager. Ms Mason and her flunkies nearly ruined a good thing. Being in a particularly well managed situation now, it's very easy to compare and contrast. It's still difficult to understand why Ms Mason let things get so badly screwed up. The local stores do look much better and I applaud that. Merchandise? School's still out on that issue.
Oh well. We shall see, what we shall see.
