The more i think about this, this is a pretty significant thing. Companies that raise guidance for the current Qtr are rewarded heavily. Since this is today, all we need is a news article to come out tomorrow saying that profit margins are improving, and bang, we have a 10 percent pop tomorrow. Even with the runup this week, we are still lagging behind what other peer airlines have done both in the last month, and even the last year.
If we where a normal airline, there would be news article on this and our stock would jump 10 percent. I think this happened to spirit airlines 2 months ago.
i noticed that this current Qtr estimates where raised 4 cents and this years 6 cents. Things are starting to look up for HA. Next years estimates seem a little low and they havnt raised them by much. I wonder when they are going to start tinkering with them.
still another buck to go to get at the double stock price in the last year, while a lot of airlines peers are at the triple rate.
With the big run last 3 days and the suspecious spike in volume, you think we can get a couple of news articles from analysis to tell us what is going on, but no not a damn one.
Gee you are right. 2 million shares did trade in after hours. This feels like more to the upside than the down. Maybe the monster 1 dollar pop is very near. Something is brewing in Hawaii.
On lighten round. He gave a thumbs up, but he didn't sound over optimistic about it, but still gave the thumbs up. Hard to believe a 10 percent bounce in after hours.
Not talking about any hate. I am in HA for the long hall. I am talking about its stock performance over last year compared to its peers. I am waiting for the big upgrade and the hugh short squeeze like you.
With most airliners going through the roof over last month, HA pretty flat line. Last 2 days when airliners are down, HA is doing well. Hopefully there is quite a bit of running to catch up over the last month.
Just look at what jet blue did over last month, they had a lot of shorts too.
short squeeze action??? We seem to have a lot of it.
I dont have the IQ to interpret this. Seems like a long time ago, and a short is a short. Sooner or later they need to be cashed in.
