When Honda signed that NOMAD LOE (Letter of Intent) with Microvision, the guys on the board at that time started talking big yachts and fast BMWs. Alas, after a breif period of excitement, it all just fizzled and faded away.
I agree with you Spec, this glacial pace can be frustrating and it seems all the longer when one follows the process day after day after day. But, MicroVision is introducing a brand new concept here and it's simply taken time for manufacturers to study it and get comfortable with it. They must now do the necessary financial negoiations with MVIS before going forward with designing and testing the new products which will incorporate our light engine. Next, they must set up their supply chains and production lines all the while determining distribution channels and developing an effective advertising campaign. I'm sure the folks in charge at Microvision want to move this whole complex process forward as fast as possible and I'm sure they'll doeverything within their control to make that happen.
GS, you nailed it with the words."...commercially viable quantities...". That is the question looming over everything MicroVision, and until it is answered we all remain in limbo.
I can only speculate that after 1,137 wrong predictions the Birdy decided to stop peeping.
I wonder if they took at least a moment during the day to reflect on the fact that hundreds of thousands of mostly very young Americans have been killed or maimed to safeguard the freedoms we all take for granted .
Great! And when you gain that confidence with the announcement of the third OEM, you can begin buying....at about $8-$10 a share.
