Fiber optics had a two year spectucular run in the stock market. 3d printing is going to do the same. thats why the insiders have been buying, thats why they paid a dollar dividend in December. And the way I figure any good news on this stock will send it to the moon from just a lack of shares. of course, things can go the other way, but based on insiders, upcoming demand in a new industry, their growing client list, it would appear that the direction seems to be more in your favor going up than down.
Would you buy it at 94 dollars a share - thats what the ask is. of course, i'm sure if you put a market order in, it wouldn't go off at 94 but the price it would execute at might be pretty scary.
You are better off buying semiconductor companies since they are wash out and their backlog is building, a turn is coming in that area in 2nd half, expect people to begin driving the prices of those stocks up. Now, for asys, the solar industry depends too much of govt that is alway a problem, what asys should be looking into is smaller type panels that can be used for heating purposes. Basically try to develope some creative uses for the technology for instance - how about building little solar devices that can keep palm trees heated in the northeast by keeping the soil warm - sound crazy - but if it worked how many people would go out and buy a palm tree in the northeast . i'm sure htere's all sort of small solar situations that a company could create. Keeping sheds heated in the winter, ice skating areas, highway signs, roads, etc yet the solar industry sits on their fanny and watch china mass produce cheap solar panels for nothing but big projects - There must be a thousand ways to make money in solar using the sun. Create easy to install, maintence free solar packages for the everyday homowner and then move it forward to roads, bridges, lights, water, etc.
I must admit, I'm tempted to buy some shares here. Every dog has its day, maybe this dog is due for a bounce. I would like to see some insider buying to confirm this dog might be waking up. Otherwise, if I buy a few shares here, I could be a bag-holder
I would actually believe him, but he has said it so many times it gets a little tiresome. But i will say if this new LED lightening product is so exciting then buy a bunch of shares and show your excitement with your money - come on mr ready, buy some shares, II've actually never seen you buy some shares, but with the stock price sitting in the cellar and this exciting new product hitting the market, it sure seems like a no brainer to buy some shares.
CINCINNATI, May 8, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LSI Industries Inc. (LYTS) announced today the introduction of an innovative and technologically advanced LED canopy lighting solution unlike anything available in the market today. The Legacy(TM), a revolutionary advancement in petroleum canopy lighting that is poised to revitalize the market, provides a combination of high performance, low cost and attractive design, and flexibility in light distribution options.
If I remember right was it last quarter or the quarter before that they missed. But hey, this market isn't based on earnings, it's just based of dreams of an easy fed.
This is such a well run company (i'm chuckling). of course, they can't even show their balance sheet. My opinion, this company is built on straw surely not cement.
First, the insider buying. i don't think you are buying if good things aren't happening at the company. 2nd, as far as a takeover - not happening - you don't do all the hard work for the past eight years, then sell it for peanuts. This is the type of stock that flys to the stratosphere with a few good earnings reports in a field that is getting ready to explode. think fiber optics back in 2000. All those stocks flew, so a company like IKNX is getting ready to take off, just need a little catalyst, whether thats earnings, contracts, new products, whatever. Well see how this plays out, but Mr Nerges buying sure confirms that the guy knows a good company when he sees one. he was buying back years ago when people thought "what the hell is this guy doing" but he knew exactly what he was doing. The guy is dam patient too and now his payday looks like its slowly coming to fruition.
Maybe these guys no nothing about investments, then again, maybe they know a lot about their own company.
Of course, we are in a market where earnings don't matter becuase earnings have been relativily flat and revenues have been awful. yet the markets have been going higher based on the fed liquidity. how does this all not end badly as the market goes higher when the world economies are struggle to sustain any growth. The nextt downturn there are no backstops to save the day. i guess you could have interest rates go negative and, maybe, you pay the back to hold your money.
The sad part of the share increase didn't come from stock splits but issued shares. i think I figure it out somewhere that over the last 15 years they've issued anywhere from 4 to 8 million shares (that figure might be high). based on management issueing themselves shares - so the shareholder is once again left holding the bag as management dilutes shareholder value. Also, if you think of all the cost cutting these guys have done over the years to the american workforce you would think with lower labor cost they would be earning globs of money - again not happening. So this grand idea moving operations overseas the shareholde has never seen the benefits - and maybe it has something to do with all the shares that they issue to themselves at the expense of the shareholder. They should have sold the semiconductor business years ago when I mentioned it and got top dollar and then used the proceeds to pludge into home land security and reinvent the company with higher margiin products, but they just continued on their merry way doing the same old, same old.
With all that said, it does appear that the stock is at the bottom of ts cycle and I wouldn't be surprise to see it get a little love here and move up nicely as long as the market doesn't fall out of bed, which at some point down the road its going to happen. but we all know if cohu does get some love down here, the insiders will be finger on the trigger to sell their shares.
Whats the better deal facebook or microsoft. Facebook might not even be here in 5 or 10 years.
I love it when a companies stockholders equity goes down quarter after quarter. do you ever notice shares outstanding increase every quarter - now these guys then have a moment in the sune when the stock actually goes up and they sell like mad and before you know it the stocks is right back in the dump and the shareholder is left holding the bag.
Hard to get excited about courier when stock holders equity continues to go down. Yeah, nice dividend, but the reduction of stockholders equity quarter after quarter means stock appreciation will be limited - Courier is like a bond investment - how about a reduction in the dividend with some share apreciation - sure its basically double since its low with the help of the matket, but it now needs to show some revenue growth and an increase stockholders equity, pretty tough to do that when you pay out all your earnings in dividends.
I hate to reply to my own emails but fastpencil looks like a nice litle acquisition and maybe there's something here to build on. Courier gives the self publishing industry now a trusted name for those people who want to seldpublish. its the wild west out there and it will be interesting to see how this acquistion adds to the bottom line
Is the begining of the big ride - a few contracts, earnings, a patent, a write up and this stock is prime to explode- looks like a snake in a coil getting ready to spring. We shall see - evening an earnings loss didn;t denter the ethusiam for the stock
The left loves a new world order where eveybody is a robot for the good of the collective. All you need to do is look at the most corrupt institution in the world call the UNited Nation, which the socialist worship.
