But be very careful. The distribution every month is part of your capital and rising interest rates in early 2014 will really hurt utility stocks and funds. I am in this now for 3 years. Bought at $5.93. It can be a great fund over the very long haul, but will be having a bumpy ride over the next 15 months.
I think it has been a bit frustrating. The DJU hit an all=time high close to $530 and this fund sank. The distribution of 13% is nice, but it is not a dividend, but our own money. I bought at $5.93, and I thought tis would go up with the DJU, but it went down. I am accumulating more res each month with the distribution, hoping that in tong run to retirement, I will have doubled my shares if it gets back to $5.93.
