You still short CFRX? Or did you get stopped out when it ran up to 5.60 right after you shorted it at 4.89?
Link to where I posted that? I have sold covered calls from time to time to recoup losses, never sold any of the stock.
Why don't you go back to your losing short scalp trades and leave the adults to their business?
Good post I was thinking the same thing. So much for the bs narrative that ACHN will be too late to make any money in HepC.
Nice short moron, current trading over 5.
Btw I didn't start buying ACHN until 11 and have buys in the 6's as well. So get your facts straight. PS ACHN climbing now on good volume.
Good luck with your short. I remember you shorting ACHN and covering higher because you lack conviction in your trades. You'll get shaken out here as well. Enjoy your continued losses.
Sellers exhausted, no buyers to be found. Stalemate for now. Have to wait till the end of the year before we see any action most likely. Although you never know when the FDA could slap a BTD on us. That would be useful.
Did anyone think the Greece situation would end up any other way? I'm sure the markets will sell off tomorrow but you really have to wonder who didn't see this coming.
For a long time I thought this stock was the easiest call ever. Great drug, mega blockbuster potential. But something is really odd here. I have no idea what the problem is. I keep waiting for them to make the announcement that they filed. It still hasn't happened after all of this time.
Yet we have this strong ownership, and the stock continues higher. I've never seen anything like it. The other part of it is the fairly large short interest, and they never seem to cover in any size. Two diametrically opposed points of view, one of them is dead wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting on the sidelines and will be happy to pay a premium after they file. But they have to show me before I buy back in.
No I haven't. But I have watched hundreds of companies before Acadia get an NDA filed in a year or less after trials were completed.
3 years to fill out forms and square away manufacturing. You would think they were preparing for a manned space flight to Mars.
Nice drug, too bad these guys couldn't run a lemonade stand. Hopefully they get bought out so the people that need this drug can get it before the end of the century.
The stock was priced at $16. It's not the company's fault that wall street went crazy and ran the stock up to $30. That was speculating momo traders.
So while yes you could say the stock's been cut in half, it's really only down about 10% from the IPO price as of the time of this post.
My guess is it will settle in somewhere between 10 and 12 and then it all comes down to whether or not this is a viable operation long term.
But I suspect most of the negativity here is from the very momo guys that got suckered in and bought the top on day1. Angry, they make up stuff about the company. It's everyone else's fault but their own for buying an IPO that nearly doubled on day 1. lol.
Etsy is a fairly popular site. It's shouldn't take brain surgery for them to capitalize on it. I remember reading a lot of the same comments during the FB IPO which also tanked early.
Was completely fabricated to justify the selling price of $4.25 in the private placement.
Good thing the stock market isn't crooked.
I'm glad we are back up over 5, but frankly, I could have done without the stress of being down over 60k on paper just so these criminals could get a cheap share price for their friends.
Nothing wrong with warrants as the cash goes right to the company. The float is tiny, the drug has huge upside. Anything they need to do to get the cash to get their drugs to market is a good thing. There will be plenty of dulutive events between now and the NDA filing several years from now assuming the go it alone or don't get bought out.
Agree his post was absurd. FIrst of all every single inside transaction to date has been a buy. (except for the VP who resigned). So give me a break with the dilution talk. It's a spec biotech stock, there are always dilutive events. It's how they get the money to run the trials.
I guess Bitesr would prefer the share count remain the same and the company file bk instead. lol
Yes but I think it's very unlikely that this treatment is dangerous. JMHO and that's why I am long the stock. But obviously we longs are getting taken to the woodshed. It's thinly traded so it can and will go anywhere.
I am getting crushed. No point in posting about it. No hope until January. Let's hope for good results or we can all wave this money bye bye.
Right now, there are hardly any buyers and the 5000 share blocks are piling up on the ask for a month straight.
The only smart think I've done since buying is not averaging down. I guess if the MM's take it sub 3 I'll buy more, but even then, if it happens, I might decide not to.
