It's exactly what BP wanted but it is not shocking. It is BEYOND clear that the settlement is being managed unfairly, with open hands to almost everyone, and the INTENT of the settlement has been overlooked, mis-interpretated, mishandled and MORE. Things are changing and they are going to change even more. There's always the supreme court. And BP is going to go there. AND BP WILL WIN THERE.
I have had enough of morons like IKKI and Judge Barbier who are just nasty C U Next Tuesdays and desperately need to get some K Y JELLY and stop being dried out old C U Next Tuesdays will be proven WRONG over and over and over and over again.
Going away for a few days! CIAO!!
Agree Bill. Agree! And, while I would like to see some changes to the way BP is handling things, I must believe they have a well mapped plan. I am skeptical since they agreed to such a #$%$ settlement deal, but again, INTENT is a key factor to the law. No one can claim that the intent of the settlement was to pay people who were not affected directly by the spill. Otherwise, I am entitled to a claim for emotional trauma even though I lived in Long Island, NYC and Los Angeles during 2010.
INTENT is one of the biggest issues when it comes to the law.
Do you REALLY think the INTENT of the settlement which was agreed upon
can be to pay people that were NOT affected by the spill?
The INTENT of the settlement was to pay those DIRECTLY AFFECTED by
The FACT that payments are being made to people NOT DIRECTLY AFFECTED
BY THE SPILL is going to lead to CHANGES!
Barbier really has SOME nerve, in my opinion, to be acting the way he is.
It is my opinion that he is NOT acting fair and should be removed from the case.
Others can disagree, but BP was more than fair and more than generous.

I AM VERY CURIOUS!
Maybe - no proof and not saying it is true - just a theory and an opinion - maybe the escort service has some interested clients........bp - start investigating!! this one should get very interesting......
Barbier has got his #$%$ served to him on a platter three times now in my opinion. I look forward to seeing BP prevail against Barbier. He is NOT a fair, biased, and reasonable judge. Maybe IKKI is Barbier? They seem to have the same mentallity in my opinion! HOLY MOLY! That would explain SO much! LOL! LOL! LOL!!! Okay, I just got home from a vacation and I need to rest.
- A lawyer located 200 miles from the coast whose business license was revoked for all of 2010 ($172,253)
- A wireless phone store closed that year after a fire ($135,258)
- A nursing home in Louisiana that was shut down for a year before the spill happened ($662,834)
Yes, I did. Thx! I was away for thanksgiving and been adjusting to time zones. Happy turkey day...poor turkeys!
One of the most interesting articles I have read on the good old southern boy mentality....thanks Bill! VERY INTERESTING! It is my opinion that the good old boys of the south and BP better fix everything going on, work with BP and their generosity, and get everything done and settled ASAP. Otherwise, us long shareholders may be paying for BP to uncover what could be one of the biggest scandals in the history of the USA, because BP has the money and manpower to do it....hope that is clear.
Yeah George Zimmerman and bp...same situation. And bp is obviously going to appeal any decision barbier makes so it doesn't matter. Good for bp!
This is the most interesting and important part to me:
"On top of all this, what BP and the media aren't telling you is that even if BP somehow did miraculously get its own settlement terminated, there's a clause that states any claim already filed would be automatically grandfathered in. See page 92:
If this Agreement for any reason terminates and becomes null and void, the Claims Administrator will continue to process Claims that have been submitted but as to which the Claimant has not executed an Individual Release."
Not sure what will come of any of this....fraud has occurred and the system is flawed. It does need to be corrected.....everyone can agree on that.
The ruling is intense, but it comes AFTER the fact that BP is already appealing to a higher court, and as I have said all along, will most likely take this to The Supreme Court. Barbier is responding in a surprising manner to me, because I thought he would show SOME logic and work on making things fair and right (of which nothing right now is either fair nor right). All this shows is a Judge who is angry and putting his foot down all the while, BP has taken its fight elsewhere and shows that they are taking the case, no matter which one, to someone else to rule over. Barbier has already been shown the slap of the ruler by the 5th Appeals, and BP really doesn't care what Barbier does. They are ready to take everything higher.....which just #$%$ Barbier off. Good for BP! This latest Barbier act only proves that he is out to #$%$ BP....just my opinion.
He has a fight on his hands no matter which way he rules......and rightfully so. I don't think his logic and handling of this situation has been just, rational or fair. Others will disagree. That is just my opinion. I have no need to explain why....
Where did we learn IKKI got terminated from BP? If she did, than I think BP would be very interested in her posts and as a stockholder, I would love to inform them of her posts as a former employee. I doubt IKKI was a former employee of BP as I feel/doubt she could pass a background check to work at 7-11. Just my opinion.
