Most likely the capital that the franchisee thought he had available /access to, dried up... I'm not sure if this would be a symptom of Japan's issues or an issue specific to the party that RMCF made the franchise agreement with. Hopefully it's the latter and RMCF can get someone else to fill the void -otherwise it will be very slow going in Japan....

  • in Rochester, NY and they say yogurt very popular with the kids. They like the toppings and when they add a lot of toppings it can get pretty expensive for the parents. Not a scientific analysis, - but there may be something to this yogurt trend, and it could be very profitable niche. Time will tell. Japan a disappointment - doesn't look like there will be much traction there. Anyhow, gonna collect my dividends and give things some time to play out before making any determinations on the shares. Not very impressed with mgmt's execution so far....hopefully they'll get their act together....GLTA

  • one of the big advantages of their technology was that the stem cells they produce can be used in anybody. They don't have to come from the patient him/her self. If that's not the case, doesn't this raise some serious issues about their method/technology?

Smart money appears not to expect A-7 success simply based on current cheap share price. On the down side, having been trading in biotech for some time, it appears the odds of success are low. On the up side, if the concensus is wrong the stock will have big rally since success is not built into the stock price. Also, price wil not come down as far as some may expect if A-7 fails, -as failure is already partially priced in and the company has other drugs in pipeline that could pan out. Personally, I've cut back on my holdings and accept a smaller profit should it succeed. If it fails or results are debatable, I will come in and buy more based on prospects/possibilites for rest of its pipeline.....GLTA

The Forbes article surmises that the "real" reason they hired the general was to boost their reputation. I found that pretty funny... I wouldn't worry too much though -KKR in my humble opinion is still a well run company that will continue to make money for investors in spite of General P#$%^&r Head...

  • No one wants to get stuck in the eye over and over. It's not pleasant. The delivery method PSDV provides is a big competitive advantage when it comes to patient choice between competing drugs. That means pricing power when it comes to deal making. PSDV will not be getting crumbs. They may be a small company with small market cap but they will have negotiating power in any licensing deal. Just the fact that they are working with one company puts pressure on the others. That's leverage. Three tech evals with large bio/pharma, uveitis trials and a PDUFA for lluvien {the third tech eval caught me by surprise}. I like their prospects. By the way, the short interest is very small {1%}. Very risky to bet against a company like this-not many takers currently out there. Short interest will most likely increase as we approach lluvien PDUFA date. Do I care? No.......GLTA

Thanks - I went back to the transcript - not sure how I missed that. I guess it's smooth sailing for some time then. The last time I had a good feeling about a company like this was with Intuitive Surgical when it was a baby. Unfortunately I kept selling my shares off bit by bit as it went up. Made 10 times my investment by the time I sold my remaining shares. It was over $100 by then. It eventually climbed to over $500 though. If I had done the opposite -and invested more as it went up - it would have been very early retirement. Lesson learned. My philosophy has changed. Gonna trust my gut and be a P-G now. PSDV has doubled from where I purchased it. Rather than selling off bit by bit as it continues to rise, this go around I've been acquiring more. This was once a$30 stock and I think in time it clearly has the potential to get there again....

the confidence & openness of the CEO to engage with investors -including the blogs. It shows confidence. As for the share price, it's very reasonable in my view. I would expect share price to move up as we approach PDUFA target date for ILUVIEN. The only question/concern I have near term is need for more funds with Uveitis trials coming. Will they decide to raise more capital prior to the PDUFA date? I'm hoping they wait it out with their current cash and expectations of the $25 mill payout.... GLTA

  • of my shares. China approval is good news. However, they still have a lawsuit to contend with. It's hard to gauge where they are at right now....so at this point in time not buying but not selling what's left of my holdings either....GLTA

  • While I'm no fan of AF, this company was founded in 1995 and has one drug currently in later stage trials with the rest pre clinical. I still kept 10% of my original holdings after pocketing nice 100%+ returns. If SGMO hits, will still make nice money because of big upside potential. If they miss, the stock will take a good hit because it's a long process of moving their drugs through clinical trials -but I won't lose much. My advice to investors would be don't bet with money you can't afford to lose, and spread your risk among a portfolio of biotech stocks. The market likes risk and biotech right now {that can change}. Others in similar space I hold include VICL, PSDV, LXRX, FOLD, PSTI, GERN, CCXI, PRAN, ALNY, NVAX, SVA, ACTC, NVIV & BLRX. I also bought my powerball tickets for tonight.....GLTA

  • small company with a unique technology and a HUGE opportunity in front of it. I'm up over 70% since purchase and accumulating more. It will take time to unfold, but for patient investors the payoff could be very big. It's too small to move the needle for most funds. It's one of those off-the-radar sleeper stocks that hopefully will yield substantial returns for those that managed to find it early on....GLTA

  • Danish scientists testing a novel HIV treatment in human trials contend that they're confident their strategy will result in a cure for the AIDS-causing virus. Article from a Yahoo link. An interesting read - not sure if that is why stock dropped yesterday, as I just saw this news today...

GERON CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT ON THEIR OWN?

Yeah, - after i read that i sold off 80% of my shares, with the rest soon to possibly follow. I was quite shocked by that news - the share price had rallied previously on the et results, - now they will not bother to pursue. perhaps they are not telling the whole story and will license out to some other pharma for the et indication. in any case, there is not much of a story left here....just speculation...

  • I'm a shareholder and that statement goes a little too far. I'm impressed with how they've delivered on their promises so far -obviously they are very confident - i'd say cocky. I would like to see them keep it real and tone it down a bit. they should let the results speak for them....GLTA

And how was it? Do you have location near you? I'm wonering is the company will ship me some...I'd like to taste what I'm buying with my shares...

  • China must be a little preoccupied right now..... i don't know that we'll ever see approval..sold off most of my shares...still have some left but I don't think they'll amount to much....GLTA

  • that's a clear-as-day sign to start worrying.....N7N9 is a real threat. It will be impossible to contain since (1) birds aren't showing symptoms and (2) birds are migratory. Our inablity to stop early will give the virus time to mutate. Human-to-human transmission is possible although no one knows whether that will ultimately happen. For all our sakes, I hope it doesn't. Sure, NVAX will skyrocket along with other select stocks. Overall, though, the outcome will be very, very bad....I'm a NVAX stock holder and I for one don't want to see that happen..GLTA

tasted U-Swirl frozen yogurt? I haven't and just wondering if it's a good product? I always buy ice cream, but recently tried frozen yogurt from Baskin Robbins in their store near where I work and I was pleasantly surprised. Still prefer ice cream though....

Is this what has been driving the stock? It's certainly been driving my shares of NVAX higher.as well ... I'm certainly one happy investor -but I don't see any mentions of bird flu on the board.....the stock has been up on heavy volume while news pertaining to CERS has been relatively quiet.... thoughts?
