I think it should be five cents.

PT Barnum once said there is a sucker born every minute. it seems some of them are still here on this board. Anyone still posting positive thoughts on this stock should consider turning their money over to a professional. Five cents is about right.........

read the fine print -he is a hedge fund dude - we should assume he and his partners have an interest - anyone who pays one bit of attention to this article should have his/her head examined. I was surprised by the cash raise but it is a necessity in biotech land and they are doing it from a position of strength i.e. a high market cap over 2 billion dollars -so in retrospect this is cheap access to capital imho. the tie to raise money is when you have high stock price so dilution is minimal. with this additional raise gotta keep eye on the prize and focus on trial results -positive results and this money raise will matter little in scheme of things....

that is what a lot of biotech is - most drugs fail. a very few make it through to the promised land. for rxii to stop the trial now would be to admit they made mistake in first place by going with this target. besides, the executives continue to get paid. imho this trial will fail. at 80 cents and change it is obvious that almost everyone else thinks so too - as for this recent announcement today, -I've never heard of the partner company. there may be some value in rxii technology but odds are high that rxii shareholders will never be the ones to benefit........glta who is left..

  • To me, a real spin job. That's why the big tank. their mgmt. must think avg. investor not so smart. By negative reaction to their spin job it appears not the case though. Keloid panel recommendation to lengthen treatment and increase dosage basically saying it's not as effective as it needs to be. How long will they have to treat keloid to be effective? Forever? Who knows? Even if they are slowing the growth, are they just stalling the inevitable? Can't apply treatment forever -there is a cost. They targeted wrong indication and gonna be wasting more money with lengthened trials. More dilution ahead. Barring a miracle, RXII will be a nice tax write-off for 2015...............

i seriously doubt it will ever hit $35. What is to notify small investors that Starboard is dumping shares? Investors will know after the fact.... IMO Starboard will sell into a rally..... personally, I'm staying far away.....better places to invest my money....

I believe Starboard is in it for the short term $buck - they will try to drive the price higher and unload, leaving the rest of the hapless investors holding the bag.... if it were really worth $35 it would be trading close to that ...... .good luck staples investors...

  • considering the two companies sales are shrinking as online competition erodes margins and SPLS/ODP market share shrinks.....along with their store footprints.... With 8 quarters of shrinking revenues for SPLS the trend is not your friend here. Costs from consolidation will rise as well. Cant imagine the merger will be challenged - it should go through no problem - plenty of competition in the space and that is the problem - SPLS trying to sell more items online to compensate - a sure sign of weakness....soon they will be selling women's underwear...... look for mgmt upheaval as activists throw out guess within a year...

they are looking for a partner - $$$ - also in news, fda approves first biosimilar - approvial for generic copaxone most likely on its way...... biosimilars is where it's at.......

  • We were in rally mode. They killed it. They could have waited and got a better price. I've seen this before, though. My guess is they chose to hedge their bets ahead of significant news. If future clinical news bad they would get an even worse price. So they took the $2 and removed risk of a future cash crunch. I would have rather they issue smaller amounts of shares more often over time to dollar cost average. Didn't like this at all. I understand it, but I didn't like it. This hurt shareholders more than it hurts them. They can always issue options for themselves. Anyhow, -still bullish long term on the stock. Wish their mgmt had same conviction that i do....

BLRX is smarter - up 12% as we speak...after being up 24% over the last month....... you are following the wrong stock..........but if it's any consolation - I do believe this stock has bottomed out for the time being.....until the next piece of rxii related news drives it either up or down........

BLRX finally getting noticed .....i'm not a big fan of Zacks when it comes to Biotechs but people do read their entries - BLRX looks very undervalued relative to it's potential - for those that like gambling on biotech success the risk-reward is very appealing IMHO as they have a nice pipeline that they continue to fill out, and multiple shots on goal - ....

BLRX up 24% in last 4 weeks... see Zacks comments...... if you bought it when i recommended it to you you're doing well..... better than focusing on a company like RXII that appears to be going nowhere .... I only keep my shares here because not much let to lose.... I expect to lose what little I got left on RXII but if by miracle it comes through I will be shocked buy happy....I will give it to EOY and take the tax writeoff if it's still performing like a bottom feeder....

no idea -blows my did have something of a run up lately... also many funds can't buy until it hits a certain market cap size,'s not gonna matter if one of their drugs shows clinical success...they got a few shots on goal coming...

not thrilled at all with the the earnings report. as a stockholder, my hope is for legislation to pass that will make cerus technology a requirement. our govt regulates everything out the's only a matter of time before legislation catches up with the technology - like that movie "field of dreams" - "build it and they will come" ......this is similar..."build it and they will regulate it"....just like rear view cameras for autos came out and now there is legislation requiring them for safety....... cerus won't need a sales force "when" this happens -they can sit on the phones and take in all the orders........

  • gswkool gswkool Mar 1, 2015 8:48 AM Flag

Thats because the scar treated by rxii is probably three times the size of the ones that weren't ....and growing .....did you look at blrx? it's at $2.33 now.... if rxii does ultimately pan out - it will be quite a pleasant shock to me since i still haven't sold my till the end of the year before taking my tax writeoff - we should know by then whether there is any hope here or not....

  • gswkool gswkool Feb 21, 2015 4:05 PM Flag

it will take an activist investor to come along and pressure or oust mgmt. or possibly a buyout by a company like tiffany. my impression is the company is there to make money not for stockholders but for people running it. if you back out cash {and they have no debt} it looks like an interesting speculative play. it's tempting - i'm gonna hold off for an even cheaper price but keep an eye on it....

not much conviction there -purchase size is a blip. I lost most of what i put into this one - it's my biggest loser in terms of the % this stock has declined. the odds are i will lose the rest by end of year. you win some you lose some. And so for Geert, who will after failure go back to his cushy life {i'm guessing} until the next "project" comes along.
