Six years ago I used this company to move some family belongings from the east coast to the west. Their price was better than PODS and their customer service was better. Even their "pod" seemed better. How did they manage to fail so badly?
I guess it's a naive question, but I have to admire the moxie of anyone smart enough to trade this stock with confidence. Buying and holding from low $2's has already put all my kids through college and I expect to hold for years. Yes, if I were clairvoyant I could have made even more money selling and buying brilliantly, but I am not getting off this train for a moment. There was one idiot on this board who was shorting ACAD in the mid teens and claimed he routinely made 30% a month on his money, apparently oblivious to the fact that earning 30% monthly and reinvesting at that rate gives you more money than Buffet + Gates in a very few years. I guess that's why he's not around now: he bought Tahiti.
Moving from $1300 to $1280 is hardly a "free fall."
Wait! I just got a letter from the NSA saying they will be listening in on my phone calls next Monday!
Whether or not we ever have 'boots on the ground' in Syria, to write (and believe) "My buddy just got a letter in the mail informing him that he will be going to syria... as a troop on the ground." is preposterous. Not even the US Army is that dumb.
According to the compound interest calculator I used, $100 compounded at 5% for 541 years is $29,067,708,535,691 (and change). The bank would be sound as long as they treated me nice.
Monte dei Paschi Paschi PASCHI. (Pronounced 'pahski.' I'm a bad typist. Paschi means 'pastures' in Italian. Figuratevi. ('Don't mention it ya'll.')
FWIW Monte dei Pasci - known locally as Babbo (Daddy) Paschi - has been in business continuously since 1472. Imagine if Great-Great-Great etc. had deposited the equivalent of $100 then at 5% interest... Somebody do the math.
I'm a UNG believer, but there is more arctic ice right now because less melted this year than in recent years. Those recent years produced the biggest melts on record, however, and the total amount of ice present is WAY below the 1979-2012 average. I don't think this is necessarily an indicator of a colder winter. Check the BPIOMAS numbers and discount EVERYTHING you hear on Fox.
