Just write out of the money calls....gravy train

    by lov2invest Feb 25, 2015 4:14 PM
    h2145h h2145h Feb 25, 2015 4:50 PM Flag

Selling calls is not a great strategy if a takeover is in the works, Today's volume and price action might indicate that such is the case.

  • h2145h by h2145h Feb 25, 2015 4:47 PM Flag

Up 6% today and at 4:45 up $0.14 more on 60,000 share volume. Somebody knows something we don't. Call selling or shorting ZIOP now IMO is a mistake.

    Biotime Warrants

    by h2145h Feb 18, 2015 7:22 PM

Bat I appreciate your raising the dilution prospect. It could happen. In my opinion and observation as a long time investor in small biotechs, technical analysis is not worth much because the nature of the beast is lousy finances until there is a surprise takeover or a surprise FDA approval..

  • IMO Biotime Warrants are a good bet. The company has good prospects. The warrants expire in October of 2018 with an exercise price of $5.00. Recently Biotime was priced at $4.32 and the warrants at $1.39. The warrants are a three and a half year call, currently $2.07 out of the money, and if bought at today's price would be in the money anytime between now and October 2018 if Biotime surpasses $6.39 in price. Please let me know if I have the facts right and your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance

    Sentiment: Buy

  • It's great to have folks on this board whose deeply analytic, well researched, and informed posts, such as "pump dump pump dump pump dump pump dump 2 yearz uv this charade" are so persuasive compared to the idiots at Merrill Lynch who just raised their price target to 21. Keep up the good work shorts!

    Sentiment: Buy

  • Vanguard now owns 13,200,000 shares pursuant to a recent SEC filing. Personally I think this is a negative
because really smart shorts on this board know that ARNA's Belviq doesn't work. After all who would you rather believe, a big outfit like Vanguard who rely on their staff of full time researchers who are experts in the field of Biotech or the shorts on this board who post wisdom like, "Where's the beef??? where's the substance??? what substance??? where's the beef??? 22 years and counting... Scams work on huge potential and deliver little substance...pump the potential and sell on lack of substance.....dyodd...think!!!" or "gscgary and arna longs give up. jack is a thief and a #$%$ and if u didnt buy uwti at 2.47 i told you sooooo arna is a pos..." It's obvious to me that Vanguard doesn't know that Arna is scam led by #$%$s and the deep reasoning reflected in the shorts frequent messages like those Quoted above above are the more convincing opinions.

    Any News?

I think analyst's price targets usually do not cause sharp updrafts on heavy volume. Institutions don't chase stocks-they use limit buy orders. There could be some inside info leak.

  • h2145h by h2145h Feb 9, 2015 10:57 AM Flag

Please let us know if it is correct that they expire October 4th 2018 and have a $5.00 exercise price.I If that's right IMO they are a tremendous buy. Thoughts on this please??

Recent action indicates IMO that calls should be bought.. If a takeover is going to happen (and I don't profess to know) I wouldn't want to lose the stock at $11 cause I sold $11 calls.

  • IMO short covering. Smart in view of pending news regarding En Banc. (I have no idea how that will turn out but the volume was not heavy enough to make me believe folks had knowledge of it being granted.)

ZTE IS on the Hook in UK for HUGE$$$$!

    by bch_ball_buster Dec 5, 2014 9:04 AM
    h2145h h2145h Dec 5, 2014 10:10 AM Flag

I hope you're right but if it is true as ZTE Claims that they don't do business in the UK (which seems unlikely in view of the suit there) there could be a judgement against them for a relatively minor amount.

  • h2145h h2145h Dec 5, 2014 10:04 AM Flag

I might be mistaken but the description of the convertible note issuance makes heavy dilution of the stock unlikely as the conversion price is 98. If I got that wrong please let us know. Also warrants with a relatively high conversion price are to be issued. If anyone knows the termination date of the warrants please give us that also.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • They've done very well without $100 million - They''ll go a lot higher with it. Time to buy.

  • Well, if we hear nothing tomorrow from CAFC then it either means one of the following:
From IHUB regarding en banc timing - explanation of no news:

    1) Some judge requested a 6 working day extension of the poll;
    2) A majority requested a conference; OR
    3) That a judge notified the clerk in his/her poll response that they will be filing an opinion on en banc denial by the 6th working day after the poll end date.

Those are all the choices I see in the rules. As for #2 I'm not sure what the timeline is for the conference. As for ALL of them, we would have no way of knowing when the poll was first requested nor when any of these possibilities may have occurred, but any of the three choices would have had to have occurred by the end of today, December 4, 2014. 1 & 3 latest date would be Friday, December 12th with a latest reporting date by the clerk of Monday, December 15th.

IP The Ihub board is much better. no insults.
