I would think the only reason for the merger now is if JF wants, for some reason, FRNT (FLINZ in US) on the NYSE.
And, who knows, it might just be a better idea...but that's up to JF and his advisors.
Don't you think it about time it did it again. I realized they had lower earnings, but with higher revenue and lower earnings, that means, to me, that they need to control their expenses. If they can't manage that - a great deal like our government, it seems - then they may as well give us long-suffering shareholders a bit more.
Thank you. I'm having such a hard time making a decision (I even have OKE in the mix) and I don't have enough cash in a taxable account to buy them all. I don't want EPD in the IRA, either. So...I appreciate your take on it.
Thank you. I was waiting for someone to tell him about the UBTI. It can be a hassle, having your accountant make out the 990-T form (this in addition to your regular tax form(s)), and getting the custodian (broker) to file it with the IRS for you. (The brokers do NOT complete the 990-T form even though it is supposed to be completed by the custodian. They rely on you to do/have it done.)
It would be my recommendation that you read the NAPTP site well before you buy an MLP, whether it be in the taxable or tax-deferred account. Depending on your age, you may not want the work of owning MLPs.
lots and lots of them...wish I had more spare money. But, although not "beaten down", I still like KMI, and even more so after it bought back all its MLPs.
Thank you, pdnnyc. For some reason it's calling to me, and although I suppose I could double up on the other two, I really don't like doing that. (I'd rather be my own mutual fund...)
Thank you, Cnifakos. Although I have quite a few MLP's, I try to buy the GP's, too, if there are IDR's involved. Kind of like paying yourself? But in this case, I think I'd just like the GP only. Does that sound like a decent plant?
