Windows 8 is the joke of the IT industry. But WinTel investors won't be laughing tonight when INTC reports earnings or Thursday when MSFT releases earnings. They'll be crying because nobody is buying Windows 8 PCs.

HP is selling Chromebooks with Google Chrome OS.

20% of computers are still running XP and users don't want Windows 8. It will be interesting to see how much more market share Microsoft loses next year, when XP users switch to something else next year. Lots of XP users have already switched to non-Microsoft tablets and smartphones.
