Akamai internationalises OBS distribution partnership

Content delivery networks specialist Akamai and enterprise operator Orange Business Services have strengthened their relationship through a new global distribution alliance, ZDNet reports. OBS will now offer and integrate Akamai products, not only for its clients in France, but those in other countries as well. Akamai is adapting its sales model towards indirect distribution, notably through operator-distributors like Orange, which uses Akamai's Aura Network Solutions service within its own network. ZDNet adds that the partners are also working together to develop new services in cloud computing, content delivery and virtualisation. Akamai and Orange's CDN partnership for France was announced in November last year.
