this is mostly a traders stock but if you are long - when investing in a company you always should ask yourself - would buy the entire company at today's price?
well I for for one would hate to have my business stepped on like a tiny bug by a big giant (Apple)
so I would not want to own this business in its entirety - any longs want to make a case why they would buy the whole enterprise at today's valuation?
I am short
Sentiment: Strong Sell
well the market should be up today along with DRL
I want to jump back in - the DORLP is cheap and so is the common
same here - I will wait til expiration and they can try and pump until then but in NOV new #'s will come out and you cant hide from that
thanks ruby - I need to see other points on this - my mind sees value in the deep in the money calls but you are tying up quite a bit of funds - even if they were not profitable per say then being deep in the money you would still re-coup
I got tons to learn - that's for sure
thanks to vorlon for bringing this up on another board - I normally dont do drugs other than crack now and again - I kid I kid!
I went long a couple days ago with a small position - now someone let some go so I can reduce my cost and get my 90 cent order filled
thanks in advance ;)
thanks to panic I bought some deep in the money call options on MILL
2.50 strike price March
of course these have gone up since I bought them (and I bought more)
but you might consider them still if you are looking to add
if your order gets filled on the bid today at 5.20 you would actually be buying MILL at a discount today and lock it in until March - now bid is 5.20+2.50=7.70 while it trades at 7.80 right now
you might not get filled on the big but if it is below parity then you might want to sit on it
I had one 10 contract order filled this way
*if anyone is an options expert - please chime in - I am but a lowly student in the game of investing*
like panic has pointed out before - I think those are more computer generated - no one with a brain would actually sit down and write that - they like to keep their name out there and this "report" is no more than fancy spam
if that was the case wouldn't we see the preferred moving up?
someone dumped DORLL (the only issue I own now) at a give a way price - last week or so
it is a cumulative preferred issue
all the other preferred are way down as well
when looking at companies I love Phil Towns four M's

I dont want to post on or get into the Ruby's Allegations thread but the more I look at management the more I like
You want management to have a BHAG (Big Harry A@@ Goal)
"A true BHAG is clear and compelling, serves as unifying focal point of effort, and acts as a clear catalyst for team spirit. It has a clear finish line, so the organization can know when it has achieved the goal; people like to shoot for finish lines."
—Collins and Porras, Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies
I think Millers BHAG is to drive the stock price up ASAP by pumping as much oil as possible (while money grabbing all the way)
this is a pure guess but I think that someone (besides Iroquois Capitol) is accumulating a ton of cheap shares (incl some I sold)
I could be wrong but I dont think this is Mom and Pop buyers out there buying in decent volume like this
me thinks someone wants big qty at a low price
I agree 100 percent with panic - this has been speculative - and the still have a couple hurdles but they are rounding 2nd base with a full head of steam now - I personally am happy the pps was kept down for a bit - I needed time to load my wagon
nice day today! weather is good here in St Louis
I am going to take my wife to McDonald's for a celebration dinner and this time I am going to let her order a soda with her meal! ;)
