  • ISIS has not been "contained," California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Monday, striking back at President Barack Obama's comments last Friday, and she hopes NATO will join the fight against the jihadist insurgents.

"I have never been more concerned," the senator, who is the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on her noon show, "Andrea Mitchell Reports." "ISIL is not contained. ISIL is expanding. They just put out a video saying it is their intent to attack this country. I think we have to be prepared."

And there is only one way to defeat ISIS, she continued, and that is "by taking them out, because they are growing."

The insurgents are in "more than a dozen countries now," Feinstein continued. "They are sophisticated. They have apps to communicate on that cannot be pierced even with a court order. So they have a kind of secret way of being able to conduct operations and operational planning. So we should take this very, very seriously."

Further, the senator said that she's not a military expert, but she believes far more than 50 Special Forces troops are needed on the ground to defeat the threat.

"We need to be able to work with Russia and Iran, if they will work with us, in the Syrian area," Feinstein said. "We need to be able to get a political solution to Assad so that all of everyone's attention can be directed to ISIL. Look, ISIL took down a major aircraft, 224 people. It had a major attack in Beirut, 40 people killed ... they are on the March. It is important to recognize this and prepare to deal with it with action."

But airstrikes are not enough, she continued.

"We will have to listen very carefully to our military people and ask for the kind of precise military strategy and tactics that might be able to really contain ISIL and defeat it," Feinstein said.

In addition, Feinstein said she is concerned that there is a "broken passport system."

"We've got 45 million stolen passports floating around," she said. "We've got international travel documents floating around. We have a Visa waiver program that allows somebody if they come back from Syria to France to come into this country. All of these things have to be explored and changed. It has to be done quickly."

Obama: Paris terror rampage a ‘setback’

    Yep....perfect definition of TOTUS!

  • SETBACK.....LOTUS is funnier than a turd in a punchbowl.

How about a foreign policy disaster. Will an attack inside our borders be a SETBACK?
Pray for a miracle folks-We'll need it under the leadership(from behind) of HOTUS.

Three days after teams of Islamic State terrorists brazenly carried out raids across Paris that left 129 people dead, President Obama labeled the slaughter a "setback" in responding to questions about his policies.

"There will be setbacks and there will be successes. The terrible events in Paris were obviously a terrible and sickening setback," Obama said Monday.

The president spoke at a contentious and lengthy press conference on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Turkey, as he faces tough criticism from Capitol Hill -- for saying the morning before the attack that ISIS had been "contained" in Iraq and Syria, and for sustaining a military strategy that critics deem insufficient.

But Obama on Monday stuck by the U.S. strategy for fighting the terror group while defending his earlier remarks.

The president said the ultimate goal is to "degrade and ultimately destroy this barbaric terrorist organization." But he insisted that the reason he said they're contained, hours before terror teams launched deadly raids across Paris, is because "they control less territory than they did last year."

Obama stressed that going after ISIS in Iraq and Syria will help reduce the threat from foreign fighters, while acknowledging it "will not be enough to defeat ISIL in Syria and Iraq alone."

ISIS makes no bones about it that they are at war with us.
Shades of Jefferson/Adams/Madison Barbary WarsThe islamic monster has been dormant for a few centuries, but is now awake, live and well....and will be for centuries ahead unless the civilized world chops its head off.

  • Obama in LaLa Land. “We Have Constrained ISIL” — Meaning ISIS

A day before the Muslim terrorist attacks in Paris, President Obama gave an interview on ABC News. It was run Friday. He spoke of the U.S. military as constraining ISIS — he always calls this well-organized Muslim army ISIL — which is preposterous. Russian planes have constrained ISIS. He spoke of “we.” There is no “we.” There are Putin and Assad.
ISIS supporters immediately praised the attacks in Paris. Muslims have “heavy feet,” one tweet said.

Think of it as “mission not quite accomplished . . . but soon, soon. Trust me.”

ISIS claims responsibility for the Paris bombings. This may just be talk, but it is surely more relevant than Obama’s talk.

Stupid..campaigned on a platform of ENDING the war in Iraq.
Which he did not do. All he did was throw up the white flag and remove our troops from the battle field. Thus, opening the door for the international terrorist islamic jihad to rapidly expand their war against the free world.

The differences between GW Bush and LOTUS doctrine are stark.

Bush was go after islamic terrorists and get them where they live. where they live.

LOTUS doctrine is refususe to acknowledge islamic terrorism exists and the is no war with islamic terrorsm....i.e. ignore terrorism and it will go away.
