You can pull it up on any bankruptcy database--check the county courthouses of the various locations he has lived for other case info:
Mirken, Mark (db) njbke 2:12-bk-25840 7 06/21/2012 04/30/2013 Standard Discharge 03/26/2013
this stock is priced below bk so not sure who is trying to force this down more but i just bought 500,000 shares today, i'm willing to take the gamble.
Nice try by the shorts. It is my understanding that a number of suitors want this footprint and are in negotiations, in addition to no less than several groups that can place the troubled debt.
I suspect there will be some type of announcement re Great Western on Monday ,and any assumptions Great Western had may be foiled by the suitors that allegedly arrived this week. So, it's going to be a very interesting next two weeks.
It doesn't really matter, a new management team will run it upon acquisition, and so the footprint will expand to Nebraska while others in the Omaha market place suffer issues with credit card processing--not a problem Tier One has--and yada yada.
If you want to stay short, please do! I'll take your shares and talk to you next week when OTS has not closed this.
It is no secret that Nebraska is a foot print normally considered very stable and reliable. Outside the poor decisions prior CEO Gil made this is a real bank with real assets, no depositor run, and employees still in their jobs ready to prove their worth.
I am voting for the premise that more than one suitor will have appropriate LOIs in time for Friday. If you don't think this then stay short or sell. But, I suspect something will happen so for me, I am going to stay right where I am, which is long.
Best of luck to all.
Do you recall the message I posted the other day?
If you are short I would suggest you do your due diligence and cover as soon as the market opens. Just watch.
This is far from over. If you think TONE is going to be seized, think again. I would not be surprised to see suitors getting off the pot due to the number of interested parties planning to bid should closure take place. Those who assumed they would be able to simply take are now having their bluffs called, and this is going to be an interesting two days. Stay tuned.
Pretty obviously you don't know what you are talking about since Tier is a thrift, idiot, and the FDIC would not be taking over if they failed. Learn the difference between s&l, banks, thrifts, etc.....instead of posting crap on here.
I am not surprised to see there is interest in Tier. Someone started buying the stock again a couple of weeks ago, usually these guys let their friends know before they start signing things that preclude them from trading in the stock. Lots of movement going on in all the regional banks right now, look at KEY and HBAN for example.
Best of luck to all on here.
