"Under good conditions, Lithium ion provides 300 to 500 discharge/charge cycles or 2 to 3 years of service from the time the battery leaves the production line. The capacity loss occurs through increased internal resistance caused by cell oxidation. Eventually the resistance reaches a point where the battery can no longer deliver the needed energy although the energy may still be present in the battery. There are no remedies to restore the capacity when worn out. "
their cars ? What's the problem here ? Place like Texas require you to use a car dealer. There are thousands of car dealers in Texas. Anybody can hire a dealer. Why ?
Everyone thinks Prius battery can last 8 years or more Tesla should also. Couldn't be more wrong. Burden on all electric car battery maybe 10 , 20 times more taxing.
There are already consumer complaints on Tesla drive system. Its really a battery problem they are not calling it battery problem.
Those lithium batteries heat up fast. Older batteries are particularly dangerous. And they lose capacity over time. Anyone got Tesla's battery service record ? Reputable car companies are moving away from lithium battery.
This is a richman's gov't subsidized toy. The short range makes it impractical for just about anyone who has to commute to work. You can't even take a weekend vacation with it.
Really not important how profitable they will be. The bleeding stops. Bankruptcy out of the picture.
Penny will be bought out by companies that seek growth. Chains like TJX, Ross........a dozen others. have no room to grow. They must make acquisition to maintain growth or their stock valuation become stagnant (already).
