don't you know how to check out reit companies? agnc - arr- etc. last few days has seen selling due to reports fed going to stop purchases and all that bad stuff for reits

thats a big day in the life of RAS after the so so qtr, for me anyway. i am hoping someone on the board here, foulger, fouger, or whoever is attending the annual meeting wil make a report back to all of us on the board here. for me it will be - sell or hold if i can get a feeling for their future. thanks in advance to the resident information guy or gal

wow really, you are thinking it won't happen this year or next. i am pretty sure feds taking a lot of flack of all this buying, and they will succumb to pressure and stop and change course this year. i must be vigillant, because i own lots of call options and don't have youse guys holding power. good luck

thanks for your input. i agree, bot to be bad news for reits, especially at first. from last fed meeting it sounded like they were holding steady as she goes..BUT, with the employment report that came in so good, they might be changing their tune and plans could change. anyway, i think i will watch and listen very carefull and try to get out before it all happens.

buffett at their annual meeting said " the shot will be heard around the world" when he was referring to the feds stopping their buying and raising int rates, etc. sure it will panic a lot of people to sell their stocks, but wonder if this is especially bad for all reits - even ras. any ides of effects from any rate experts?

My overview of RAS - Recent results and forward thoughts
by noah_wollowick •May 4, 2013 1:04 PMokay here is my 2 cents worth - overview. pre-split high was 3.72 , now equates to 11.15. we are one heck of long way from the old hig of 11.15, in fact its taken forever to get to the 8's. they may be doing greeat, company wise, paying dividend when they don't have, etc. BUT, to me is when you look up this company the lingering taberna losses, each and every qtr, is killing anyone wanting to buy this company. of course old timers evidently know and don't care of these taberna losses. imo they should put this taberna off the books or explain it better.

don't know who is who? whoever is the resident "expert" with all this calculations, which were wrong, and caused me to hold and not sell a few days ago. you said you are going to the annual meeting - so you owe me something concrete from the meeting preferably the real inside scoop.

thats good to know, ownership is up not down. wonder why the sell off yesterday, of course mkt down big time, and today again. must not have liked the call or what is out on the company? annual meeting should be interesting if anyone shows up. so far on the call, i like that they explained why they were short a couple cents, due to money put to work will show up next qtr.

going over the transcript of the call - no opinion yet...BUT, interesting or scarry - always there are some institutions who ask questions, usually same ones each quarter. this time there was NO questions from anyone and the call ended. wow, what happened, did they no longer own this company stock?

because of very little response, and not very trustworthy or factual inside stuff or have talked to the company ceo direct - i will not be selling till i see the earnings.... i hope i am doing the right thing, if not i have the two fgers to blame.
