perhaps outta line but I do use the ignore button and still JR's posts fill up most of the screen (since Yahoo hasn't figured out how to totally remove an ignored thread)....now that gets irritating..if one wants to say something bad about a stock I'm sure they can figure out how to posts it using a whole lot less space than JR does...
you think posting two hundred times in a day emporwers you. what it really does is make a lot of us wish we knew who the heck you really are so could loosen some teeth for you.
I meant to move this forwards...seems Yahoo doesn't want me to do that.
I care about 'shorts'.
Bio-based Isobutanol to Enable Coca-Cola to Develop Second Generation PlantBottle™ Packaging
During 2011, Gevo, Inc. announced a groundbreaking agreement with The Coca-Cola Company to create renewable paraxylene from plant-based isobutanol. This initiative is accelerating the development of Coca-Cola’s second-generation PlantBottle™ packaging made entirely from renewable plant-based materials.
Gevo is working with Coca-Cola to enable and deliver an integrated system to produce renewable paraxylene, a key building block in reaching Coca-Cola’s vision of creating all of their packaging from renewable materials. The work is designed to take the technology from lab to commercial scale and support Coca-Cola’s efforts to lead the beverage industry away from fossil-fuel-based packaging by offering an alternative made completely from renewable resources.
“While the technology to make bio-based materials in a lab has been available for many years, we believe Gevo possesses technologies that have high potential to create it on a global commercial level within the next few years,” says Rick Frazier, Vice President Commercial Product Supply, The Coca-Cola Company. “This is a significant R&D investment in packaging innovation and is the next step toward our vision of creating all of our PET plastic packaging from responsibly sourced plant materials.”
Coca-Cola identified Gevo as a leader in the race to commercialize renewable PET following an exhaustive search and evaluation of technologies from around the world. The global market for PET is approximately 50 million metric tons and has a value of $100 billion, with approximately 30 percent used for plastic bottles. In this next generation of PlantBottle™ packaging, Coca-Cola plans to produce plastic beverage bottles made entirely from renewable raw materials.
“New technologies need champions,” says Patrick Gruber, Ph.D, CEO of Gevo. “The Coca-Cola Company is in a unique position to drive and influence change in the global packaging supply chain. You cannot ask for a better champion than one of the world’s most respected and admired consumer brands.”
on the market when MVL (bought out by Disney) was $2-3 a share...I stopped believing that Insiders must hold for a stock to go up....MVL just kept rising and went over $40 per share. No....Insiders don't mean as much as you think they do. Now, just like MVL with Spiderman and such comic figures, Gevo has a product, all to its own, to bring forward when it's ready.....and Gevo PPS will certainly rise.
I'd say 12 to 15 is about where it'll be in a couple of years. like to throw a LOT of cash this way but that time hasn't arrived yet:(
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I just can't bring myself to respond directly to JRpric...I will say Warren Buffett is more about making money than making statements such as going green. With that said, Warren will support the efforts of global conservation (going green) but it will be supported from his philanthropic side until the money in green companies is deep enough for his greedier side. If JR thinks green is dead then he's even more stupid than I thought. GEVO is in the sweet spot of the future as well as other companies that understand that even with natural gas there is a limited supply. Maybe one day Warren will want to buy GEVO if they successfully go commercial with their products. We'll know soon enough.
Won't be long and I'm sure I'll hear the sound of your bones crunching Ding ol'boy. Them squeezes can get pretty tight....LOL
IRWD 5.15% and us less than 2%?????? boloney
