Yes, I received my check in mail yesterday. What's next? Shall we just put this in the past and mark it as a lesson in our investing life, or is there any hope left?
Another recent SA article mentioned that there is a possibility of IMOS loosing MU's business due to their joint venture with PowerTech. What are your thoughts on this one? Thanks.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Jaret, Thanks for your insights. Another recent SA article mentioned that there is a possibility of IMOS loosing MU's business due to their joint venture with PowerTech. What's your thoughts on this one?
Thanks, Turt. So guess the only unknown is how much premium we are going to be paid, which is what the special committee is supposed to figure out?
I see. But is this 60%-40% split already been decided? I know we only own 57% of 8150, but why can't we convert 100% of our IMOS shares to 8150 shares based on that? Sounds like the conversion means we have to sell 40% of our shares. I actually want to own more 8150 shares than cash, because, as you said, the real upside comes after the conversion when 8150's valuation catches up with Chipbond. Thanks.
Thanks for the analysis, Caff. So, for the conversion, should we expect to receive three parts: 1). 8150 ADR shares converted from our IMOS shares ; 2) $2.25 cash (that belongs to us); 3) premium cash (which may lie in between $0 and $4 ?
Are you implying that they are going to buy us out in all cash? I thought it is going to be some cash and some 8150 shares. And I think the real big gain will come after the conversion when we become one entity, and when 8150's valuation catch up with Chipbond. So in my opinion, I actually want more 8150 shares than cash.
