I agree that ODP has a good chance of beating earnings expectations. The economy is improving and you can expect office supplies to benefit. I am a big believer that this merger is a no brainer and merging with Staples is an equally simple minded winner. ODP has been taking a beating long enough.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Office Depot is going to make money. They merged and they have a lot of positive news ahead. Should they merge this will be another easy double. They have a new head quarters and eliminated half of middle management waste.. eliminated excess stores..combined advertising and internet..more leverage with suppliers. You can believe nobody uses paper or internet companies rule. Office Depot has a lot of contract business and they are not going anywhere. Slow steady growth ahead exception would be if Staples and Office Depot merge then it will not be slow.

What do you think. I say it is merged with Staples. I expect a double in that time to $11.40 a share. Oh... and please keep shorting this because it is not going out of business and you just make it spike higher. My company uses more paper and pens then ever.. we like hard copy.
