    Session starting Bid at $17.56

Bid $17.49. Master wasted no time closing the opening gap. My WAG is he's not going to let Pooch get too far off the $17.50 line. As usual I'm looking for him to overshoot the downside...which bid at $17.488 and being pounded appears to be exactly what he's doing. Bid now .47, still being pounded....bid now .44...and I'm buying here even thought he's walking Pooch back agressively. Why? Because this churn action is typical....

    BAC resistance $18.03 / support $16.77...

Psst...an OT sidebar....I like to speculate, from time to time, on future oriented companies. Did that with TSLA, NFLX, CREE, and a few others. Some hit....some....not so much. But overall it has been profitable. I've been tracking/playing, for over 5 years, a nano-tech company the tracking ID of which is CVV. Check 'em out. Me thinks the tech is maturing? And like I said...disclosure....I've played them a lot...and have a +5yr old basket of them under my "for sheer speculation" category....

    Meanwhile...BAC Bid...$17.53.

I'm getting this feeling...I don't know why....but in watching the action I'm thinking Pooch is gonna have trouble getting far from that $17.50 line. Wonder what the options are doing?

  • Looks like that's the starting line for today. Wonder which way from here, eh? Such cross currents. Greece comes out with some unexpected #'s. China deval's AGAIN. TSLA goes to the well with more shares yet the CEO counters by saying "we's be putting charging stations in NYC!!" Zoom goes the equity. The guy knows how to play WS. Anyway..let's see where to from here.

Well...this should provide some unexpected lift to the 'ol skirts of NBG, eh? But given all it, and Greece, have gone thru I doubt the lift will be energetic. String a few quarters of this together and THEN you'll be talkin'. For now PM shows a bid of $0.8001 (love those hundredths/thousandths don't you? heh). Last sale at 08:11:48 was 3K shares at.....$0.84.

    Let's see what happens today.

Bid $17.50. Okay...closing my intraday "gets" established lower here at this line. I am NOT holding over-night. After the last couple of sessions what's next, eh?

I'm gonna be dating meself here but sumbody whip out that rally monkey and start spinning it around and roundy round. Bid $17.48. Closing north of $17.50 would be a plut considering the day. And look'it THAT! Dow is up, UP, 7pts. s happens indeed.

Hell...with that kind of confidence to sell at $18 be sure to play the round trip properly by shorting it back to $15. Both ends against the middle...so to speak. Heh!

Seems entirely possible at this point. The saving grace is we'll know the truth of it within a month or so....that's if they were even actually considering a hike in September to begin with.....yah gotta love how geo-politics can lay waste all fine laid plans, eh? So it goes....and it's why I never extend my neck out too far in this game....especially when it gets to the frothy sideways churn levels the markets been at the last few months....

    Meanwhile...look'it THAT! Bid $17.35.

    Half Time Report

    by rpfla Aug 12, 2015 12:48 PM
highlowsel highlowsel Aug 12, 2015 1:06 PM Flag

Here at half time team BAC is coming off their backs from being nicely clobbered into the $17.single-digit line. With Poochie barking encouragement they've managed to rally back to the $17.25 line. But support lines have been breeched everywhere you look so it amounts to trying to consolidate around some new support line. TA here is about useless because of the exogenous event (China) that ignited this whole mess. Aided and abetted by the bit of classic TA, the death cross. I think between the two China was the biggest surprise, but the cross of death probably caused the cascade. Why? Machines dominate the action. Machines ARE the HFT game. They are programmed with metrics, strike lines and all the rest no different than humans. They simply react at speeds we cannot match. So once the death cross set-up the edicts of the machine Universe made it self-fulfilling. And such "fulfilling" takes longer than one session to play out. So I fully expect more chaos for the remainder of the week. That said, I'll consider it a plus if the bid can close here at $17.25 or better. That have it close out near(er) the 2% downbubble metric it usually goes thru on bad down days....

For now I'm watching the (former) support line of ~$17.50. Let's see if it can migrate back to that area. Interestingly enough it's also the area where a fair amount of Option activity is occurring....

Hey...OT sidebar....I went long a tranche of......BABA down around the $71.50 area. As you may recall I'd been playing them from the "dark" side but had closed that out back when it broke south of $80....so now I'm on the light side. Now watch it get pounded into the $60's. :P!

Bid $17.20 and I closed the $17.03 "get." Just trading staggered in/out "bird-n-hand" style. And not daring to blink at all while tracking my systems.....it's one of those days you don't dare blink for having the pps move by 10pennies or more...not just BAC...everything is caught in a twirl....

Okay.....Bid $0.8109 and has been taking a shellacking. 'Course...this ain't specific to NBG. It's all China today. 3.6% deval of a currency in a two day period will do that. So I'm back in at this line just playing a trade. Let's see what happens next...

I just added another tranche at the $17.03 line...jeezus it is messy out there today....death cross by the markets (overall). Chinese knee-capping the global community. What else can we get? Oh oh...I KNOW! The Fed's announce another Begillion dollar suit against the Poochie? That'd just about make this a perfect storm, eh? :P!

Guess you're gonna have to be? Bid $17.08 and STILL being massacred. Down ~4% on heavy volume. Fugly...if $17 fails...and it looks like it's gonna....then it puts the $16.50 to .70's back on the table...and back within "spitting distance" of a mid-March downtrend line off of ~$17.75.....
