Got my 10pennies by closing at .80. Master is yanking Poochie back to heel again...bid now .71....think I'll got down south of .70 and wave a bid just because that looks like where he wants to again take dah Pooch.....bid now .70....

Fragile: Yah....Quite impressive when you consider the float. Errrr......I mean as it relates to BAC....not the Missus. In that regard (the latter) I recommend hewing to the "yes dear" course of action. Makes sleeping at night easier for not having to keep one eye open for the smack-down? ;-)

    Bid $16.77....

Never been gone...just ghosting....so to speak....anyway...bid now $30.94. MU keeps plowing ahead in (forward) Texas two-step - the dance - style. errrrp...bid just busted on top of $31. Looks like Lucy is trying to take it to that aforementioned downtrend line for a test? Let's seeeeeee.....bid $31.04...

Well my idea of the pennant may have been violated yesterday but dam if it doesn't appear that MU is in a very wide channel. Bid now $30.82. Even so there's no reason to be hearing an "all clear" signal just yet because on a 10day chart the bid is still "comfortably" below the downtrend line off the ~$33.25 level (with second point on that line being ~$32). I'm playing it accordingly...bid now .75 in the time it took to write this..

Nothing like a little volatility to put some starch in yer "shorts," eh? ;-)

Hope some caught the bounce? 'Ol Lucy again confounds expectations....only this time of the sell side camp....she's an equal opportunity confounder ain't she? ;-) Let's see what happens next. Bid now $30.71.

Okay...bid now .82 and garnering support. But even so locking in my 10pennies with a stop....hopefully I can do the usual "ratchet up" tactic as the bid continues to float higher....

Yah...so far so good with the bid now at .78. Matter of fact I've number of open positions in various equities all across the market that got opened as a consequence of session opening yankage. They're all jumpin' now....interesting....let's see if it continues apace.....

Picked up some (to me) cheapies below .70....looking for a +10penny trade.....let's see if Master accommodates. Bid $16.73.

Bid $16.73. Don't think it'll get north of .80 but who knows? In any case I'm not bothered by the bid of consolidation being seeing today. All things seem to be pointing to further upside......errrr....barring yet another major piece of FUD-related news specific either to BAC or the sector. I always catch myself looking over my shoulder in that regard because that sort of thing does seem to occur with disconcerting regularity don't it? Regardless, my 2pennies are the odds favor the bid getting north of $17 by end of week (at the latest). The volume on the $17 Calls seems to be saying that, too. But as always let's see what Master actually does...

  • highlowsel highlowsel Sep 15, 2014 3:51 PM Flag

Oh boy. Didn't know I had that kind of clout? If I did I'm be writing this from my own island while minting my own currency with my face on it. ;-) Anyway...I'm still here...still playing MU from the trading perspective, too. But I tend to wander the market universe and sometimes set down on other equity threads to chat. It's a big chat Universe though....if I can digress for a sec....from the way some of the pseudonyms I have on ignore due to OT political rants (and such) seem to wander it's clear - well to me anyway - that there are these Cyber tribes out there that troll and flame each other over opposing points of view. Me? All I wanna do is make money. Color me foolish?

Anyway...where MU is concerned I think I noted (on this thread?) earlier today that the low bound of a pennant I'd been tracking was under pressure. My thinking was that should it break on any sort of volume that the bid would head lower...at least on the intraday. And that's what has happened. There's nothing about this specific to MU...it's more that the market perception out there is that "all things tech," right, wrong or otherwise, is over-valued and since money has nowhere else to go it sloshes around into other sectors or perceived undervalue....right now MU is threatening to break $30..still no need to panic as the longer term uptrend line (from ~$10.75 on May 23rd 2013) is still intact. It sits today at ~$28.75 so there's some ways to go. Disclosure, though. I sold half of my long term core in MU (from the ~$5 line) at ~$34 so consider the source. Should that aforementioned line be threatened I'll be closing the remaining percentage of my core. But I don't think that's likely.

    Bid $30.05

Dip: HA! Probably not. It's just a case of dropping meat (OT discussion) on the ground and watching the flies gather while it rots.....it is what it is...just ignore 'em is all you can do.

Elockwoo: Over the intermediate to longer term anything south of $16.75 is a gift (to me). Disclosure....I hold not only a very old (circa 2008) basket of BAC but trade around that core, too. I'd closed trading positions earlier this AM at ~$16.90, and re-opened them at ~$16.70 on the p/b. So take my commentary for what it's worth. Right now the bid is at $16.73 and the sell side is effectively blocking (so far) any bounce by continually selling into it. To my mind it's more a "rear-guard" action than one focused on hammering the bid downward...but let's see how the rest of the day shapes up...

Yah....MU getting beaten with the ugly stick. But the Nas overall is having the same problem so it's less a thing specific to MU and more just part of a general tech malaise...

Codi: I continue to play the churn in that one. Just waiting on the continually drift before re-entering....it's probably being aided (this time) by the general perception that the Chinese economy is slowing...

  • highlowsel by highlowsel Sep 15, 2014 10:42 AM Flag

Setting up nicely to test $17. The intraday action has almost entirely flipped, tactically, to a buy side oriented one.....probably the same players that were playing the sell side up to and just after the DoJ decision have moved to the most logically profitable side? Anyway....the upside (so far) continues....let's see if it continues...
