Hey...we can't have them running around free can we? ;-)

Meanwhile looks like the bid is again setting up to test a level it's been to ~3 times in the last 10 sessions. That being the ~$16.80 zone. Sooner or later.......

Mara: Well..despite my "grumble bunny" mindset over the day to day aspects of this equities action a somewhat jaundiced eye of the TA chart could lend one to thinking that there's some consolidative basing going on within a channel. And since there's little downside to expect....all else being equal of course...I'd say going up from here is in all likelihood the probable outcome of the basing. Just got to.....patiently.....(grinds teeth)....wait....it.....out. Or play the intraday swings. ;-)

    Bid $16.64.

Nicest house in bad neighborhood? Hmmm....don't know from that but....slap some lipstick on that pig/pooch and let's see if the animal can attract some interest. Heh!

Right now like yesterday $16.50 is the dance line. Dow is off over 100pts (again)....if it can hold in this area I'll consider it a plus...but watch the way the bid vacillates according to ask dictates.....for now I suspect a foray south of that line is setting up....but let's see....

That's it indeed. Master let the Poochie again stick his nose just a bit north of $16.60...and now here in the final hour it looks like he's yanking the Pooch back to flat...bid .54 and heading once more to .50...this thing is on auto-pilot "churn" setting. My WAG is it'll close today at ~$16.50....watch the bid/ask relationship....it's proven a classic tell on the sell side tactical game...

mdb: I get what you're saying. And I'll bet you were being somewhat tongue in cheek? This game is all about PERCEPTION. Hell...anything involving an item that changes hands according to some sort of metric - in this case dollar value - is a function of perception. You buy that which you perceive is undervalued. You sell that which you perceive to be over-valued. It could be real-estate. It could be balloons. It could be equities. It could be some sort of art. It's all perception. A market of people perceive something is worth more than is being quoted...why they'll dam well bid that price up in pursuit of it. Conversely...it the market (of people) perceives there's too much of something...that it's overvalued....or the sentiment about it is negative...well...that things value naturally falls or goes nowhere..

In a larger sense the market game is really nothing more than a "greater fool" game. You buy, or sell, with expectations of finding someone to make you whole, or good, at a level more profitable than where you got it....

Perception...this game is all about Perception....

I don't know about LOGIC and technicals but I do believe the evidence of me very own peepers. Me eyes. And they clearly see, from tick to tick, the pps is being held in check. I won't claim to know the truth as to the reason; conjecture on it is like noses...everyone has one....but not knowing the why of it does not mean it ain't happening....but hell...this sort of thing ain't exclusive to BAC....this is just the way the game is played...primarily its one of he/she who makes the rules gets the gold....or sumthin' like that....

JPM, eh? Ha! Well...I think it comes to this. BoA can't get out of its own way PR-wise. They continually keep leading in a "left footed" fashion. No offense against lefties of course. ;-) Anyway...they just cant seem to get the PR act together whereas JPM...well....need I reference 'ol "Sir Jamie of the Dimon" clan? Say what you will but the (popular) press seem to luv that clow....errr....guy...

Well...as a intraday tactical short I'd say you'd do better with where the bid is right now...$114.35. On the intraday the TA is screaming overbought. Going short here could make you some coin on a logical p/b...with the bid still being ahead at days end. But that's just from an intraday trading perspective.

Anyway...for now GILD is an avalanche flowing...upwards. Bid $114.32.

To quote from a popular vaudeville sketch...."Slooowly I turn. Step by step. Inch by Inch" Further and further to the upside the bid goes....? ;-)

Ooops...another inch. Bid now $5.32, showing large (by way of support) and the ask continues to fade...

Nest: Hmmmmm....the GS recommend on C draining from BAC is certainly one way to look at the intraday....and to the extent it's true one might as well turn the machine off where this equity is concerned.....it ain't going anywhere...neither fast nor slow...at ~$16.48 it's being churned in place. No amount of positive/negative jawboning effects this action....

So....trading aside, turn the machines off, come back Dec 31st and you'll pretty much find no difference in the pps or the action going on in it.....but hey..check GILD! Breaking to new (though not 52-week) highs at ~$113.70. That one continues to generate the excitement long lost from BAC....

I tend to agree. And since it (almost) never turns out that way right now I'm on the buy side of MNKD and the short side of TSLA (and NFLX, and AMZN, and...). ;-)

    Bid $5.22.

Rpfla: I like the sentiment...but if BAC performs in the next 6 months the way it has the last 6 months....well...there's no way in hell it outperforms C....and unfortunately that seems to be the way it's shaping up right now....although I'll admit...it's only June 1 of the second half....

Indeed. But it ain't just holding long...unless yer talking holding a basket of goodies from the 2008/9 era (heh)....holding a short position (longer term) is equally as stupid. Probably more so....

So play what the market gives you is my motto.....

Volume so far ~7.5M and of that amount over 50% is selling. Same pattern as the end of last week. Bid now .48 and still crumpling.....looks like, at minimum, a third test (in 10 sessions) of the ~.45 area...

Master let the leash out a bit at session open, but as usual yanked the Pooch immediately to .56 heel. And once again the tactical sell side game is in effect. It comes to this....as much as I look askance that the writers over at Motley I think a recent write-up pretty much summed it. This company is simply not well liked in the sector. The sector itself isn't looked at all that well by the "common folk." But all of that negative energy is particularly focused on BoA and its equity. You see the end result of this expressed every day in equity action. Just like right now...bid is .54 and going nowhere fast. The self-inflicted "gun shots" stemming from the 2008 debacle period aren't going away fast....it will take years for attitudinal changes to occur in a fashion that will reflect a positive pps.

But trading it for pennies will go on regardless....speaking of which...bid at .51 ....as a buy side trade I'm a buyer here....with another low-ball bid waving a bit south of the .40 line as I fully expect Master to take the bid there....at least...so long as the current action proceeds apace.......

Annnnnnddddd WACK! Bid $16.48. Just like that. And STILL the bid is collapsing...now off 1.14%. Makes one wonder what a downgrade would have done, eh? Heh!

Bid now .47. Definitely oversold here so I'm buying another trading tranche here in usual stagger in, stagger out, fashion.....

Bid .54. Volume +11M so far, and +7M of that volume has been selling...so guess which side is being the more empathic off today's upgrade? ;-) On the usual theory of overshoot that always seems to occur with this equity I'm waving a lowball bid just a bit south of the .50 line. I expect to see it hit. Bid now...$16.52 and still collapsing under the usual tactical selling....

By the way...at .50 the upside gap from two sessions ago will be officially closed....
