Hmmm......so....."We are in the final stretch" are we? Is this the final stretch of the current lap with endless number of laps ahead as has been the case to date? Heh! But at least there seems to be one positive. This drama has slid a bit off the global stage...no surprise given the ADHD nature of its Wall Street (and such ilk) audience. So maybe with the spotlight not so glaringly on them they can actually get something done? One can hope...

    Bid $0.8027.

In the face of the current intraday action I'm inclined to agree. This equity, and the sector, seem moribund. But it's August...so I guess nobody should be surprised...come back Nov/Dec....maybe then there'll be some change? Naaaaaahhhhhh.....probably not (heh). Bid $17.91.

Okay...closed the $18.63 at $18.74...just playing the bounce in bird-n-hand +10pennies style. Looking for the reset if I can get it. Bid $18.69.

Bid now $0.823. Tracking along behind it with a "mental" stop on my get from yesterday. Here's the thing about playing this thing down here. Barring any major negative news of note....and for the most part my WAG is all the really bad stuff is already out there...this thing won't be doing moon-shots or quick deep dives. It'll be more along the lines of what you see right now....large volume hitting the micro-pennies....it's being "chugged and churned" as I like to say. So if you're trading along behind for those same pennies all you need to do is keep a finger on the pulse of the action. Easy to do when trading....though I'll admit this ain't everyone's cup-o-tea. Bid now $0.82.

HA! If'n yer short. Kind'a the way I felt with my AAPL/TSLA shorts that had been opened for some time. Vindication was mine this week. ;-) I'm also looking to do the same with NFLX (and others). Experientially speaking their valuations are simply absurd and unsustainable. 'Course...the art of the game is in the timing of your action, eh?

Bid now at $18.54 and breaking south of .50.

Bid $18.54. No support...none...nada...zilch....Lucy doesn't need to yank the ball because Charlie hasn't even shown up to play. If $18.50 fails then there's not much between that line and $18.10. Think...

    Bid now $18.51.

Not me. Bid now $18.59. :P! But the session is young...and we all know how Lucy can wag the ball all over the place. Pretty much all the gain achieved on July 29 has evaporated here....but I'd like to think given all that's known and expected the continuing downside thrust of the bid might begin to run into push-back from here on down lower....

Let's see how it plays out. Bid $16.64...

Session starting with bid a bit north of $17.90. The last few sessions have made clear that the $18 area is hard resistance...to say nothing of the $18.teens above that line. So my WAG is Master will continue to do today what Master has done of late. Lot's of chug and churn going nowhere at all. But let's see how it actually goes.... Bid $17.94.

Bid $18.63 and being absolutely crushed. Triple bottom test plus a test of a shorter term uptrend line off the July 9 ~$17.19 line. I've opened a buy side trading tranche here ...watching to see how the ask overhang show goes from here...

  • Yanked it to the $18.70 area....on a 5 day chart this amounts to (now) a triple bottom test? And here I thought the double yesterday would suffice but nooooo....'ol Lucy clearly has other plans....gotta stay careful of the Lucy....

Bid $18.78. Let's see how she plays Charlie today..

Well another dance around sideways day will it be? I'd say most threadsters (here) must think so because I see a whole page of "ignore" which must mean that ilk is spinning up over tonight's circus act under the political big top? It is what it is. As will be the show Master will put on again today (I suspect).

Let's see how it plays out...

Notice that not one analysis mentions 3D XPoint

    by tech_wiz_ Aug 5, 2015 2:01 PM

Ummm.....the analytical game is one of numbers, with calculations and projections based on 'em. So far nobody knows the costs of the 3D XPoint product much less what the INTC/MU gambit will charge for it. To my mind this is why you're not seeing much out of that ilk. This is not to say they don't engage in their own flights of fancy, as they certainly do. It's more to say that such fanciful flights are always rooted in some sort of number context. And right now....well....there ain't none. But there will be at some point....just not right away....

Just some thoughts. PB Bid $18.87.

Except from a trading point of view today was yet another throw-away day. All the churn...all the dull roar, smoke and mud being thrown everywhere "tractor-pull" style all amounting to nada. And on light volume. This is what it is....dog days of summer. Yawn...might as well declare the month of Aug a holiday and turn my attentions elsewhere....

I think that 5M share volume on the sell side stabbed a stake thru the heart of any buy side enthusiasm for today. The bid then went south of $18.90 before closing at .91. Effectively the bid has been ~flat the last 4 sessions (inclusive of this one). I suppose this is just continuing consolidation off the recent bottom area. So the game appears to be sell your buy side trades anywhere north of $19 (depending on the dynami), then re-open +10pennies south of that line. Play the churn. And if you're brave when you sell you can flip to the dark side and play a short for the return leg. I'm loathe to do that as there's no clear indication that this is a high probability trade.

Just my 2pennies worth. Let's see if Lucy continues this pattern tomorrow...

Yup....Lucy's keeping with her pattern. Bid now back, again, at $18.97. I'd stepped away for a bit an, in looking at the last hour on the charts it looks like the sell side, in a 1minute interval, threw something like 5M shares at the bid, driving it from ~$19.03 to $18.98. That's a huge # of shares for this equity....but it only managed to dive it just south of $19 sooooo.......perhaps that's the intent? Lucy keeping the bid south of $19? All just ruminations, mussings, my WAG on all of it. Let's see how she closes the bid. Who (else) thinks flat? ;-)

    Bid $18.97.
