    15.50 it is

Could be....here's an impressive intraday datum. Pull up an intraday 60 minute chart. Of the ~90M shares transacted (so far) ~85M have been sell side actions.....tell me THAT'S not impressive. And with the bid now trying to break the $15.65 support line I expect you'll see $15.50 by tomorrow....it's all a sell side game....no reason for the buy side to step up in light of the simple reality that there doesn't appear to be any indications in a change in policy etc.. For the finny's the world has stalled on never ending dovish Fed, etc.....until that changes (thinking rate increases here).....well....what we're seeing is what we'll continue to see...

Bid now firmly cracking at $15.63...going for the mid .50's into close?

tfamily: Who can tell? Certainly I can't. But for now it appears the $15.65 support line is holding....but here's to not jinxing this thought..... ;-)

The selling has been heavy and merciless. It's been a 45 degree downbubble morning, and now at a bit north of 2% down on the day.....given the intensity I don't expect this support line (that's been in place since mid Jan) to hold...at all.....the bid is colllapsing...actually...deflating.....should this support break thern there' not much preventing a visit back down to around the $15 line.....which would amount to a triple bottom test (on a 3 month chart) with the set-up be to break down further from there. But that's just a WAG....for now it's just a merciless sell side assault.

    Bid now $15.63...

Hope: Hmmm...interesting....well....regardless...the sell side team has once again been completely dominating the intraday.....it's getting so's I can't recall the last time I saw any true buy side action in the equity. And the volume is heavy at (already) at +43M shares changing hands.....and $15.70 has broken with the bid at $15.65 now representing the usual ~2% (actually 2.05%) intraday downbubble they are selling the stuffing's out of this equity right now....

Hope....hmmmmm....cartel? In any case here come the $15.60's...bid now $15.72....down ~1.6%....going for the usual 2% downbubble puts the pps into the mid-.60's.....and from what I can see of the intraday action....completely dominated by the usual sell side action....this will be hit probably by noon at the latest...

Ooops...typo on the heading....should'a been $15.80. Bet I caught some eyes on that one, eh? ;-)

Bid at $15.78 and enduring the usual sell side onslaught...this time on heavy volume...so clearly the market doesn't see any near term upside in this one....guess I'll go play elsewhere excepting the overshoot trades here...which I opened a long side "for +10pennies" trade at the .76 line. Elsewhere looking to short the likes of TSLA, etc....it's not that I don't like TSLA...I do....I like what they're trying to do...but their valuation juxtaposed against the reality of earnings? Nah....not worth +$200...

  • Looks like Master is walking Poochie back down....and history indicates when he goes on these "jaunts" he always takes the bid down by ~2%...now off a little over 1% and going for 2% as the bid is now $15.77.

$15.80 is breaking...which sets up a double bottom test of the ~$15.65 area....

Let's see what happens next....bottom line? The buy side can forget any real upside in this equity for the foreseeable future....the best you can presume is it goes nowhere...and the worse is that the actionable line of least resistance is to the downside....there is simply zero upside catalysts to be seen.

No move this week as too many options at $16

    by onwardskyward Mar 19, 2015 8:32 AM
highlowsel highlowsel Mar 19, 2015 9:38 AM Flag

Onward: Don't know from crooks but I tend to agree with the $16 thinking.....The open interest on the $16 weeklies is.....large.....I'd expect to see them be crushed. But who's to say. With the Fed news over, the FUD swirling around this company always in a state of never ending simmer, and with nothing new expected on the horizon, I expect the sell side will continue its intraday dominance in the action. Indeed...right now the bid is being walked south and is at...$15.86. On a 10 day chart it looks like a double bottom test of the ~$15.80 is setting up...if it fails...and I expect it will....then the pps may very well continue to drift downward...probably back to testing the ~$15.65 support line, which has been basic support since ~Jan 20...

Bid now $15.83...here comes the first test...

Huck: Disclosure on NBG...I've had some nice success playing their FUD inspired swings...and now back down at $1.20 or less they're again intriguing from that perspective....but given the FUD I do not recommend using any monies other than that which you would roll up and smoke in a hot "golden triangle of northern California" minute (heh). The equity is the very definition of playing in traffic....rush hour traffic...

Ha! I'd grabbed a chunk of USO a bit after open this morning and then turned my attention elsewhere...plus got up and walked away from the machinery....just looked at it....I see shortly after 2pm POW! It took off? Don't know the reason...excepting perhaps it's what you say....but since it's a trade I just closed it at ~$16.62....I'll take the ~95pennies and go giggling to the sidelines. ;-)

But 'ol Janet didn't come out and SAY rate hike in April. And so the market, right along with all the media self-styled pundit of the "know" talking heads, spin it up as high drama....ridiculous, really....but without a true warm-n-fuzzy from Janet and crew....well....have I ever mentioned FUD? ;-)

    BAC to a $15 handle....

    by nestofweasels Mar 18, 2015 2:53 PM
highlowsel highlowsel Mar 18, 2015 3:34 PM Flag

Huck: LOL! Was that you that just pulsed out ~2.1M shares diving the bid from $15.98 to $15.92 in the last eye-blinks worth of time? Master is really grinding it....using all the (by now known) standard sell side tactics...overhang the bid while walloping....and/or fading the ask and fading the ask until WHAM! The bid fails. It's all about the chug and churn game...and since it continues apace, in unrelenting fashion, post Fed pronouncement I can only conclude that Master sees no reason to alter the current dynamic. So as frustrating as this might be..both long and short since neither side is getting any true satisfaction.....I suggest just putting BAC on minimal monitor mode and go elsewhere (until your alarms sound)....because what you see is all there is....

And right now it looks like Nest may be right...closing at ~$15.90, or less, seems to be the tactical goal for today....bid now $15.92, showing weak with the usual ask overhang, and being hammered mercilessly.....

xtrader: If you truly don't know what to do then I submit that you actually DO know what to do. Nothing. That's what I do whenever the set-ups on any given equity are putting out no, or confusing, signals. No need to push or press for an unknowable advantage. Far better just to sit and wait for clarity.

Just some thoughts worth 2pennies at best. ;-)

I dunno about $15.90. Who the hell knows? All that's obvious is the chug and churn dynamic continues apace. Longer term I don't see any issues with continuing upwards. But for now it's about the slowest slog I've seen in some time....so....my philosophy here? Play the overshoot trading set-ups when they occur....else...just put it aside and go play in other sand-boxes for the time being. This one is, and will remain (until it isn't) a pig/dog slop fest...

Just my 2cents worth of course. Bid...$16.

$16 remains the hard line in the sand from the sell side camps point of view.....that's if the intraday action is any indication. Poochie slipped briefly north of that line, and I mean briefly. Bid now $15.96. I aven't checked but I'll bet the $16 weeklies (options) action is heavy...again...

Post Fed announcement immediate eval (by me)...might as well hold that patience until summer....Poochie is not gonna be off of leash and runnin' loose and free any time soon. Cue the chug and churn machinery and music....
