    Session opening bid $17.36

Lunchtime bid is $17.30. Low volume churn is all that's happening.....probably gonna close flat for day....and most probably will also close under the downtrend/picot line......a line all the machines seem to be playing against.....by the way...on average the volume is low...but at +20M shares transacted that would make a sizable day for most any other equity.....the chug and churn collective know this...it's why the bid is worked the way it is....and it's also why I'd vote BAC do a sizable reduction of that float.....but I'll not be holding my breath in anticipation of THAT happening any time soon...

Yup....always COULD happen. I never say "should" or "will." That's just inviting a smack-down by the Gods. Meanwhile...the bid continues to dance just south of that aforementioned downtrend line. A line which today sits just south of .33. Funny how that works sometimes, eh? ;-) Bid .30 and about to dive back south of it.....think I'll run down a place a low-ball bid.....bid now .29.

    Session opening bid $17.36

Nest...maybe .50 is doable but the sell side, which laid back at the session open, has head-fake slammed the bid from ~$17.40 to .31. That side continues to execute the tactical strategy of appearing to show a fade on the ask (while it gets continually hit)...but regardless it's the BID that fails. Because this tactical aspect is so relentless in its execution, and so...smooth....it's why I view most of the intraday action as being done by machines, HFT/s/Algo's and the like. In a turn of phrase...it's the "chug and churn" teams that remain the dominate force with this equity on the intraday....the only benefit (to me) is the sheer size of their churn allows ample opportunities to trade it.....

    Bid now .33.

  • Now $17.37.....interesting opening...the sell side is laying back....appearing to not show up which may clear the way for a buy side shove upward.....but that side is cagy and machine-like in tactical execution....let's see if they're head-faking....errrrp.....they just showed up on the $17.40 ask....showing up by showing +1M on that ask. Let's see what happens. Today could be .50 day....

PM last sale $1.55. With earnings out, and the never ending back-n-forth of the two warring tribes here - not that it will impact the pps by even a fraction of a penny (heh) - it should make for a very interesting session today. Let's see how the market plays it...

$17.46? Nah....too much resistance by the sell side being expressed....at least...right now....that could change of course....but for now that pivot/downtrend line is a strong resistance point.....but check the Dec $18 Calls....they're garnering some interest.....and the current open interest on the Jan 2017 $20 Calls is....large. ;-) So I guess a look at such tea leaves means things look good for the buy sider longer term? Bid .33.

Disclosure....I closed my .21 "get" from yesterday here at the .34 line. I'll either re-enter back south of .30 should the sell side mount yet another thrust against the bid, or go back in long on any strong show of volume with the bid north of that aforementioned pivot line....

Bid again at $17.35. Testing a set-up launch off the pivot of that downtrend line? Let's seeeee....

So long as the rut has an upside bias I'm good with it... unless it rolls over in which case it'll be...."Rut Roh!" ;-)

I don't have a clue what Adami said but grabbed a trading tranched just south of $107.50. The only reason I can see for today's mischief is post-electoral fear regarding the Affordable Care Act. All medical babies now being thrown out the window with the bath-water....it'll pass once the market's realize it don't matter if it's Dem's or Rep's....which are both sides of the same coin (imo)....things ain't gonna change much......though I can GUARANTEE the political jaw-boning will ratchet up a few notches.

    Bid now $108.20....

  • highlowsel highlowsel Nov 5, 2014 10:43 AM Flag

Right now I'd settle for getting north of $17.40. If you're watching the "ticker" on the intraday then you know this is a real challenge....the churning is sumthin' else....

Bid $17.29. Action ain't bad but man-o-man the sell side "blocking and tackling" is making any upside even more of a chug and churn chore than normal. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised....that aforementioned downtrend line.....which now sits at ~$17.33....is a major point, something of a pivot....if the bid gets north of it then the logic of pivot points may apply....hence the churn going on right now....guess it bodes well longer term....maybe I should just go....shower? ;-)

Master certainly trying to confound expectations by stomping all over 'em (the bid). Bid $17.25. It's never easy with this equity is it?

    Dare I think.....maybe...$17.50 today? Hey....NEST! Go take a SHOWER! ;-)

Back up the truck. BAC is going to $50

I like the enthusiasm but there's not a chance in hell of BAC going to $50. Not with the current size of the float. Right now I'll settle for +$20....

No...now it'll be two years of who's gonna be the new "victim/psycho" in the Power Oval....I say victim/psycho because I can't imagine anyone in their right mind actually wanting that position.....might as well be strip naked in a public fishbowl all while being anally probed on a daily basis - for all to see, criticize and comment upon - for the duration of at least 4 years. All that for what? "Power?" I prefer relative anonymity. Anyway...regarding the OT chatter.....well..... .all I can say is all praise to the Yahoo Gods for the ignore function. ;-)

Meanwhile...looks like BAC is back setting up for more upside....dare I think .50 is doable by weeks end, if not today? Let's see how it plays out. PM Bid $17.31.

Huck: Not sure about the red part....my personal opinion is it doesn't matter what happens...no matter how much bombastic hyperbole the media pontificates....governing dysfunction will continue apace. The worlds preeminent Superpower remains hamstrung and castrated by its own political leadership (class). Truly we have met the enemy and he is.....us.

But I digress...regardless of the political smoke-n-mirrors all the stars seems to be lining up to benefit at least some of this sectors participants....and I'd like to think BAC will be one of 'em. Let's see how the rest of the week goes...

Nest: Good call on the $17-ish.....maybe a case of "test and go!?" Anyway...bid now back at$17.19. 30 minutes left in the session...if it can recover to flat I'd say today was a consolidation day setting up the next leg up. But as to when that next leg up might be....well...it's Tuesday...we've 3 days to maybe see a test of +$17.50? Just a WAG, of course.

  • highlowsel by highlowsel Nov 4, 2014 11:07 AM Flag

Yup....looks like Master wants to shove Poochie back south of $17. The usual sell side tactic has been its usual relentless self.....the bid is taking a continual, carefully orchestrated, pounding......one must remember something about the machinery..when a downside push becomes evident what usually happens is they take thte bid down, on the intraday, by ~2%. Right now the bidis $17.04.....the selling is well overdone on an intraday basis so I'm looking for a bounce here...but until the tactical selling abates....well...advantage to the sell side...

True: Could be...true? ;-) Right now the bid is being ground lower. Trying to hold $17.10 but I suspect a possible dip into the $16.90's....so long as the sell side tactical game remains in effect as it is right now.....I say $16.90's because there's that ~$16.95 to ~$17.20 gap that opened last Friday.....but let's see how it actually plays out...
