Well...so far $15.70 is holding as support. Oh....and as for Spock...Live long and prosper Sir Leonard Nimoy. I'm sure at the time, circa late 1960's, you could not have imagined the impact you would have in popular media and such....but......you did well in the popular imagination......so it goes.....

Big: I don't know from fraud and/or manipulation. What I've found to be the case is whenever the market diverges from expectations....expectations of either the buy or sell side camps...then the pertinent camps squeals fraud/manipulation/etc.. to high heaven. Me, I see it more simply. The market will do what the market will do, regardless of what I think. So I try to play what it offers and not what I think it should be doing.....and for now the market seems to be saying (to me) that it ain't looking for much out of this company any time soon. Hence the pps....

    ;-)

High volume. Low volume. Or somewhere in between. It ain't the volume, per se that's indicative. What's indicative is the supply vs demand equation. Low volume downside movement tells me the buy side ain't enthused to be adding more...so any selling will force the bid lower. No criticism of the buy side...just the logic of the situation. Reverse the logic on upside days. For now the sell side is moving the bid, in stair-step fashion, lower....I'm interested to see if $103 breaks or not. For now it's at ~$103.30...

Vol now +1.6M shares. Bid $6.67. It looks like it's feeling out a consolidative bottom here in the $6.60 area but time will tell if this is true or not. For now I maintain a downtrend line on a 20 day chart...it starts at ~$7.80(back on Feb 10) and has as its second touch point the~$7.30 line of Feb 19. The bid has not been able to break back above it so that's my trading set-up line (to go long a trade). The line looks to end the day today at...just a bit north of $6.80. Although the buying has picked up here in the last hour or so my WAG is that line will not be threatened today...but let's see how it plays out..

Sell side still controlling and dominating the action. Even though the ask is getting heavily hit it just keeps refilling refilling and refilling some more until the buying exhausts and the bid slips. The action kind'a smells of some short covering going on...but at +61M shares transacted so far it ain't all about that.....that is for sure....

Buy side just exhausted itself against the ask and bid just slipped to $15.72. I wager the odds greater than 50/50 that Master is setting up to yank Poochie well south of .70.....just a WAG...but the intraday action has that feel to it.....let's see if it proves out or not...

Not bad....I've done much the same....they're catching an ~double bottom bounce here...could be signaling a turn but we'll have to wait and see what actually proves out....

Nest: Indeed. That's pretty much what is going on. The BOTS read the news, react and the herd follows at more human speeds. Meanwhile....~1hr 15 minutes into the session and the volume is already north of 53M shares transacted. Yeowwsah that's heavy. Bid now $15.72. It looks to be stabilizing at the resistance/support line of .70...but let's see if this is a head-fake Master is doing...setting up for the next downside yank......

CCjjp: While I get your angst I'd submit there is no "should be" in this game. There is only..."is." Bid $103.54.

Up over 38M in half an hour. This could be an example of one of those "Ah FRACK IT" wash-out capitulation days. Typically they manifest with a session opening jolt on large volume followed by a recovery.....we've gotten the jolt...so far...let's see what happens next...I grabbed another tranche south of .70....and will now hold steady with this and the earlier tranches just to see what Master does next...bid $15.77...

Lan: Yah...amazing a +10B share float equity can be moved around like this, albeit in chug and churn fashion. Anyway....looks like Master is testing using that $15.70 line as a support level? Or...depending how it goes from here...a resistant one. Bid now $15.74 (after dipping into the mid $15.60's...)

Indeed. The CNBC talking head desk of Cramer, Faber, etc. were just now busy ughing and moaning the UBS report....not good noises for BAC longs right now....and it's being reflected in bid that is right now being hammered. $15.70 just failed....now at .65...I'm now looking for .50...possibly back down into the low $15's.....now way around this it's fugly for this equity right now. FUD is once AGAIN dominating the action...

  • Down +6% in ~10 sessions time and being SLAMMED here at the get-go. That's impressive. My WAG is Master will take Poochie to the $15.70 line before considering his options going forward.....err...no pun on call/put options. ;-)

LOL! Yah...sure...they downgrade to Neutral (from Buy) but maintain their target of......$16. Go figure...

Huck: HA! Indeed. At this rate we better pray rates don't go up any further less the pps crater back into single digits? ;-) I jest...but sometimes the logic of the market movement evades me, too. PM Bid $15.93.

  • highlowsel highlowsel Feb 27, 2015 6:46 AM Flag

Brian: Hmmm....interesting....meanwhile Master looks set to yank the Pooch even lower. PM bid at $15.88. I figure there's an even probability that the bid gets walked down to an older resistance support line I've maintained (on my charts)....it sits at $15.70. The bid hasn't been there since ~Feb 3 but today might be the day it gets tagged. And if it does so that sets up a possible mid $15's yank by Master. Bid now $15.80 and last sales going across at $15.86.

Here's the funny thing....well....maybe not so funny....I remember the "lost decade of the '90's" for the Japanese economy. They fell into a deflationary trap that had the rest of the world economies, especially the robust and strong U.S., tsk tsking them and saying....in effect..."What's the matter with you! Can't you get your act together and get OUT of that trap yer in?!" Oh the sanctimony was high to the sky with criticism leveled against them by everyone else. And...to a certain extent...at that time...it was true. But spin the calendar 20 years and looky looky!. The rest of the planetary economy has fallen into exactly the same trap. The.....same....trap.

A trap out of which the Japanese have STILL not figuring a way out. Which makes it juuuust a wee bit worrisome that the rest of us are now playing in the same sand-box. Doesn't bode well for any sort of quick fix does it?

Just some random thoughts while watching BAC's bid go absolutely nowhere....$16.02 and being churned and ground to an "in place" nub.
