I don't see how a block trade @ 600% of daily volume does not affect price, no matter the reason. I know it went above $29 and then knocked back to the lower third of the session's range only to continue trading flat in AH. Is it the case that the shares were set aside for a period of time and then registered on the tape all at once, with all prices in that set aside range recorded in the tick? Thoughts?
The PR said they expect to close by Wednesday. I think it's already underway, hence the large Vol.
I disagree with your third line. I think people don't know how to look past the time it takes for your smartphone to run out of batteries.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Soooo...time stamp. 5/9/2016 @ 08:18:00 EST.
A buyout announced above the current stock price would probably have the same effect at this point. Investors don't know any other way. Positive news...sell!
Inventory is high...I don't think there will be a drastic reduction if any in the earnings numbers we've been anticipating for the rest of the year...time stamp is still alive and waiting for release (I think)...the company trades for less than 2x BV!!! Down 22% in two weeks w/ very positive news released since the initial drop...
Don't know what else to say. For the past 6 months the stock has been totally irrational. Management fails to ever attempt to stabilize the stock, so we all suffer through it. But hey if not 2022 then 2030 for sure!
There wasn't much to get excited about on this call except maybe this (from SA transcript -- has typos) below. I just hope this time it's not smoke and mirrors like all the other pipeline, next year, SETAC, time-stamp soon, ballpark BS we've endured since it was at these levels in April 2013!
"now we can understand why Intel told us that there were several areas that they would like us to actually help them with the environment around the Silicom so that they would be able to help us again in pushing the Silicom. Because without doing that, but what that would mean is that actually we would have no competition or hardly any competition to these products once we have those developed, the glue or the interface, the software and sometimes hardware around the original product that would increase the stickiness level of our product with our customers make us practically very unique compared to any other competitor. This is also the case with ADI products."
We'll see Shaike...I hope your shares are worth more than $30 by the time you retire!
You may be right but how long has 100m rev been a target. We both know it was sooner than 2017. It's always next quarter, next year with these guys.
My last post was not complete. So your saying that the 35-40% gm applies to select customers which extrapolates to 2% overall hit to gm?
Yes a 20% hit in one day is quite a reaction.
Big drop in gross margins going forward. Shaike said something about customers getting lower prices in each sequential quarter.
