I know u wont, just wanted to remind you, thank you, your favorite partner, hjc.
Berkshire Hathaway: The Next Ten Years
he says he is going ask buffett if you loved ibm at 180, are you doubling down at 130 etc ? MAYBE this year will be different, MAYBE we will learn something with respect to how uncle thinks and WHY he bought ibm over brkb ? now i'm hopeful this year will be worth while, I hope many of us are not disappointed ,again.
my guess, ginny will miss her own guidance, again. I hope im wrong, but for some reason buffett decided I own brkb because I want to make huge bets on tech ,go figure ?
all these lowlife s,bags are learning the game pump and dump goes both ways. Use these lowlifes to always go the other way ! zero hedge.
hi, if you sell em at 2 bucks are u willing to tie up the money for an annual return of like 5.6 % ? I'd rather wait for another sell off a spike in the vix and try to earn closer to 10 % on what u sell. as a rule, don't sell puts into rallies bro. good luck.
sellers think there is so much ibm waiting to sell into buffets denial bullish silliness that size was anxious to get out BEFORE buffett makes his case ? its a good thing buffett doesn't even know when he is being humiliated. what a shame. I guess there is one chance in 10 he admits, he has had a little disappointment since 2011 from ibm but highly unlikely.
++ buffett always makes the case that IV far exceeds the stock price yet uses a 1.2 xs BV buyback limit. IF buffett and munger agreed that IV exceeded stock price by 75 % BUT the stock was trading at 1.21 xs BV, brkb couldn’t buyback one share. WHY use the BV hurdle for buybacks , why not amend the SEC filing to authorize buybacks at, material discounts to IV ? Thank you ,
++ Over time, this asymmetrical accounting treatment (with which we agree) necessarily widens the gap between intrinsic value and book value. Today, the large – and growing – unrecorded gains at our “winners” make it clear that Berkshire’s intrinsic value far exceeds its book value. That’s why we would be delighted to repurchase our shares should they sell as low as 120% of book value. At that level, purchases would instantly and meaningfully increase per-share intrinsic value for Berkshire’s continuing shareholders.++
year after year, HE remains confused and lost. only uncle warren would get away with this ??
morning jad, and your point, is ? buffett finally understands that buying back shares at, material discounts to IV, are accretive to remaining shareholders Iv ?
++ Buffett loves buybacks but believes companies too often do them for the wrong reasons, resulting in buying back at the wrong prices or ignoring other needs++
so tell me ole bud, did ibm buyback for the right reasons ? thanks.
++I know this question has been bothering you for several years. Knowing the answer now should free up a significant amount of time that you can apply toward finding a company with management that more closely fits your way of thinking. ++
brky, were u the guy who told me that if a want a 50 for one split, sell and buy another stock ? did u tell me if I want an authorized buyback, buy another stock ? Have any idea how much I made loading up on brkb in mid sept 2011 BEFORE he put out the news ? Some day you'll visit vegas, we'll have dinner and i'll show u what you can make front running buffett coming out of the coma and DOING THE RIGHT THING !! nice to see you.
cop, irish banks, Tesco, cbi, other holdings, etc ? Thanks,
++Unrealized losses at December 31, 2015 included approximately $2.6 billion related to our investment in IBM common stock, which represented 19% of our cost. IBM continues to be profitable and generate significant cash flows. Approximately 77% of the IBM-related unrealized losses occurred from the market price decline in the second half of 2015. We currently do not intend to dispose our IBM common stock. We expect that the fair value of our investment in IBM common stock will recover and ultimately exceed our cost. ++
no brky, buffets bull sheet has me CONfused ?? HE said HE hasn't had ANY disappointments since HE bought ibm, right ? small lies are ok, embarrassing silly ness is insulting. did Tesco , cop, or cbi ever buyback any stock ? howd that work out ?
what about u jad ? any others ?
bro, when he set the limit at 1.1 xs BV and I started to pound RAISE the limit to 1.25 xs BV, did he raise the limit ? btw, I know why he doesn't want to buyback brkb but im not ready to share that yet, im still wayyyyy to long !! also, did I get him to write he understood that buybacks BELOW IV are accretive to IV unlike buybacks at 1.2 xs BV which are dilutive to BV ? these are advanced concepts brky, but I know u can hang with me .
