No worries. Promptly crashed again, just like last time it poked above ten bucks.
Curse of Smelly Fatso, Kiss of Death, continues intact.
So it needs to gain 40% over the next year just to catch up.
And it well might.
From today's story:
In countries including China, India, Indonesia and Malaysia, however, Apple’s market share remains around 10% or less, according to tracking data from Counterpoint Technology Research. And those are among the fastest-growing markets for smartphone sales.
Room to grow
While Apple will never hit the kind of share it has in the United States without cheaper products, it has plenty of room to grow in emerging markets with an expanding number of middle-class consumers, says Ken Hyers, a wireless analyst at Strategy Analytics. The markets are so vast and growing so quickly that Apple, which has sold 164 million iPhones over the past 12 months, doesn’t need to be among the best sellers to still pick up huge sales.
“Apple can honestly expect healthy future growth from emerging markets, even as that growth is outpaced by orders of magnitude by Android in those same markets,” says Hyers.
You're funny. In the head, loser.
I can see $8 in 2016. High estimate for next year is already $7.85. How 12% growth, ie from about $6.35 EPS in 2014, to $7.11 in 2015 & to $7.97 in 2016? Looks doable to me, with new markets & products & margins holding up, plus share buyback.
You, OTOH, loon, are always wrong.
It should go higher, on to $120 to $140 next year, IMO.
Which just shows how relatively undervalued AAPL remains.
$705+ in Sept 2012 = $101- in Sept 2014, unadjusted for split & dividends.
That is correct, & was hammered last year, & forced to take huge losses by his "investors", then totallywiped out in Feb & March when JCP crashed under $5.
Obama's 2015 budget (finally wrote one) allocates only $495.6 billion for the DoD, down from $515.4 billion (unadjusted for inflation) in 2009, plus about $145.2 billion for the Global War on Terror (2008 figure).
No, you blithering imbecile, defense share has been steadily falling. The old 18% figure has nothing to do with the brief sequester. The Defense budget has already been sharply cut. The only way to control spending is to cut future growth in Medicaid & SS, plus other entitlements.
Even adding in off-budget wars in Iraq & Afghanistan, share of GDP spent on defense was lower in 2009 than during the Cold War of the 1980s, & of course it has fallen since then.
Learn to read & study before spewing such garbage.
If you were not a totally idiotic ignoramus, other people wouldn't point out that fact.
What a total ignoramus! Are you out of your frickin' mind? Did you ever have one?
Medicare/Medicaid & Social Security are about half of the federal budget (both about a quarter), & growing. Defense is about a sixth & falling.
The political term "Progressive" has little to do with real human progress. Quite the opposite. The last thing "Progressives" want is for people to succeed.
It is about what a debacle Obamacare is, providing worse care at greater cost with less choice. How it was written is only a minor part of the problem. How it was sold, with lie after intentional lie, doesn't help either. But mostly it's because it's an idiotic system.
