    Boone Pickens Macular Degeneration

Thanks Risk. My gut told me that it was probably a low probability that it could be MANF but I thought it was worth throwing out there to get some input. The article mentioned that Pickens made a big donation to the eye institute at Johns Hopkins so I held out the small possibility that, since money talks, perhaps he may have gained access to MANF. Keep in mind what I mentioned at the outset; I'm new here and trying to get myself up to speed.....

  • I'm very new to AMBS so I concede that most on this MB know much more than me. Probably a lot of you read the article last week about Boone Pickens. The article mentioned that he has developed macular degeneration and is receiving an experimental treatment at Johns Hopkins that involves an injection of a drug directly into the eyeball. Pickens stated that it seems to be helping. I did a lot of Google searches to see if I could find out what the drug is but could not crack the code. Does anyone know what the drug is? Would love it to be MANF!!

I have only just started to look at this stock as a potential investment, but one thing really bothers me about this company - the claims about HHO gas as a fuel additive. It seems that over the past 100 years or so there have been all kinds of claims that water can be turned into fuel. To me, it defies the laws of physics. If KGET has "cracked the code" why has GM,Ford, Chrysler, Cummins, Caterpillar, etc., not jumped all over it? On KGET's website, I notice that no mention is made about how the HHO is produced in amounts that offset the energy required to produce it. Also, no mention is made about having any potential customers for their HHO gas product. So, I tend to have some skepticism about the company because I think HHO is really snake oil when it comes to producing it with less energy than it will provide. Would like to hear others' opinions on credibility of this company.

    CC Overall Was Positive IMO

atom, I agree with what you said. Today is the first time I've been on the MB in a couple of weeks. The reason is because it is just the same broken record everyday. It is hard to understand the mentality of those that, day in and day out, actually wish and hope that others will lose a lot of money. My take is they are very insecure people who can only prop up their low self-esteem by seeing others lose money or have some other negative event happen them. One person the other day posted (I'm sure many saw it) that good news to him would be hearing Reed Killion died of a heart attack!! How can someone even utter the thought? In the past, I have challenged some of these bozos to actually meet me in person. None of them took me up on the offer and I knew beforehand they wouldn't. They only have a feeling of power when they can sit behind the anonymity of their computer screens and toss grenades. For sure, they do/did not work in any field that requires professionalism because they would have been shown the door during their first week on the job.

My hope for everyone on this MB, longs and shorts, is that we all make money. I would not take any joy in knowing that someone lost a boatload of money. This is America! I always believed that we wish the best for each other. Obviously, a lot did not read the memo!

And let me add to what druggy just said. In my earlier post 'CC Overall Was Positive IMO' you ask me if the kool aid tastes with rose colored glasses. Txmag just pretty much stated everything I stated in my post and your take is polar opposite! What's up with that?

One thing you got correct with your response is you addressed me as "sir" - as you should...!!!

  • Going into this call, we were told that production shipments would not occur until the last half of 2014. That bears repeating - we already knew that production is slated for second half of 2014. Now why is that? Because they knew they had some technical issues to resolve. That's exactly why they gave themselves the first half of the year to work these issues. So, for God's sake folks, they told us they have some technical issues to work out. Again, it is right in line with what we knew going into the CC - get over it!! Carl was honest about the fact they are working on finalizing the solutions to the issues and fully expects the solutions to go into effect sooner than later.

One of the issues John Hickman brought up was light reflecting off the copper wires WHEN THE DISPLAY IS OFF! Carl affirmed it was when the display is off when he gave his answer. I don't see that as a big issue at all. If I had a laptop and saw light reflection when the thing is shutdown but, if it annoyed me, I'd just close the lid....!! However, they are addressing the issue and are close to having a solution.

Some of you must think that no technical issues should exist and UNXL should be shipping now. Again, we were told prior to the CC that shipments would not occur until the 2H of 2014. Again, why? Because they are finalizing the production processes in the first and second quarters, that's why. But there are those who must think that all issues should be resolved now and UNXL should just sit, twiddle there thumbs, then start shipping in 2H of 2014!
